Students wanting to learn to speak Chinese now have a resource for finding educational opportunities in China through the China Education Center.
Hong Kong (PRWEB) December 12, 2005 –
The China Education Center has launched a link to the United States. Established in 2001, the China Education Center (CEC) has reached over 40 countries around the world, offering educational opportunities to foreign students who are interested in studying in China.
In 2004, more than 110,000 foreign students studied in high schools, universities and short-term Chinese language programs in China. The China Education Center (www. chinaeducenter. com/en (http://www. chinaeducenter. com/en)) works closely with high schools and universities to provide a smooth educational experience for foreign students in China.
“Learning Mandarin is not as hard as you'd expect,” says Eddy Lee of the China Education Center. “There are increasing numbers of students who are interested in learning Mandarin and studying in China is definitely the best way to learn Mandarin or other Chinese languages.”
The China Education Center provides various kinds of services to students, parents and educators from all over the world. Whether at the research stage or looking for an appropriate school, the information can be found through the China Education Center's website, www. chinaeducenter. com/en (http://www. chinaeducenter. com/en).
In addition to semester or year-long courses of study, the China Education Center organizes study tours, an ideal two or three week experience for junior high and high school students that offers more than just a language course. Study tours are an opportunity to explore an ancient country, its people and culture.
The China Education Center's services include:
Professional educational consulting Information on China’s schools in different regions Application help Guardian services information Winter and summer short term courses Education in China seminars High school international exchange activities Overseas Chinese programs
Many high schools in China have international departments, where high school students from all over the world learn Chinese together. Students not only learn Putonghua (Mandarin), but also about different cultures from their international schoolmates. “The concept of diverse or multicultural education has become the model for future education. The diverse cultural experience will improve students’ understanding and appreciation of different cultures and broaden their vision of the world,” says Eddy Lee.
Students can enroll in several Chinese high schools' international departments, where they will be able to learn Chinese and obtain their high school diplomas. The China Education Center (CEC) has developed the international department for the High School Affiliated to Nanjing Normal University (Jiang Ning Campus). To ensure all the needs of a child studying in China are met and offering parents peace of mind, the China Education Center has their own instructors at the Jiang Ning Campus. CEC instructors live in the dormitory and are always ready to provide daily assistance to students.
“When parents make the important decision to invest in an overseas education for their children, they are offering them a unique learning opportunity and a life changing experience. It is vital that the whole experience is a positive one and as trouble free as possible,” says Eddy Lee.
