New Hospitality Sports Marketing Conference Set to Kick Off in Las Vegas in March 2011

The producers of the Nightclub & Bar Convention and Trade Show announce the launch of The Hospitality Sports Marketing Conference debuting in Las Vegas from March 7-8, 2011.

Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) August 10, 2010

Seeking to help bars, restaurants, hotels and others attract patrons through the excitement of live and televised sports, the producers of the Nightclub & Bar Convention and Trade Show, America’s largest on-premise beverage show, announce the launch of The Hospitality Sports Marketing Conference, the “first and finest” educational and social event of its kind in North America. To be held in conjunction with the Nightclub & Bar Convention and Trade Show, the new conference will debut in Las Vegas from March 7-8, 2011.

“The promotion of live sporting events is a key sales opportunity for the bar and hospitality industry,” said Jon Taffer, President Nightclub & Bar Media Group. “With this conference we will provide the “tried and true” methods as well as introduce innovative new tools for operators to grow profits from sports league programming subscriptions such as the NFL’s “Sunday Ticket”, baseball’s “Extra Innings”, pay-per-view and other sports events."

Plans for the new conference include developing programs in conjunction with the major sports leagues and athletic organizations, programming distributors, industry suppliers, pay-per-view promoters, celebrities and leaders in the hospitality sports marketing universe. Throughout the conference an emphasis will be placed on the importance of on-premise sports promotion and how to improve the bar industry’s revenue from sports-based activities for operators, beverage suppliers, sports leagues, and associations and key industry partners.

Potential activities planned for the inaugural Hospitality Sports Marketing Conference include powerful educational programs with promotional tactical advice, such as:

-60-75 minute on-premise marketing seminars developed around the big four sports leagues and other major sports organizations.
-Neighborhood Sports Marketing Programs: “How to Capitalize on Local League Teams,” presented by a panel of operators (Session examples: “How to Develop a Powerful Pool League” and “Hitting a Bulls Eye with Sharp Dart Promotion”).
-Industry “Power Marketing Panels” and the Nightclub & Bar Convention and Trade Show’s marketing and promotions program track offers additional educational opportunities.

In addition to a top-notch educational program, a high-profile sports celebrity will give a keynote address. The keynote will be provided in conjunction with a special celebrity-filled memorabilia charity auction with proceeds benefiting Athletes for Life (www. athletesforlife. com), a national charity with over 300 professional member athletes.

Conference attendees will also be invited to a cocktail party providing an excellent networking opportunity to connect with their peers and the event sponsors.

In addition to the Vegas event, a second Sports Marketing Conference is planned for Florida in the fall of 2011, with two regional events in the Northeast and Chicago scheduled for 2012.

Each year The Nightclub & Bar Convention and Trade Show brings nearly 30,000 industry professionals together to meet with suppliers, network, learn and have fun. Vibrant nightlife events, a rocking exhibit hall, and interactive education both in the classroom and on the show floor are all part of what keeps hospitality industry professionals coming back year after year.

African American Income Disparities have gained widespread attention over the last couple of months in many publications. The root of the problem of income disparities may be solved by creating an early track for financial empowerment for future generations.

African American Income Disparites and Bridging the Gap

African American Income Disparities have gained widespread attention over the last couple of months in many publications. The root of the problem of income disparities may be solved by creating an early track for financial empowerment for future generations.

Mr. Earl Graves of Black Enterprise is calling for all African Americans to make a declaration of financial independence and to become home owners by the age of twenty five. I agree with Mr. Graves philosophy of early home ownership. I have been a homeowner in NYC since the age of 25 and homeownership is one of the major area where we will decrease the disparity of the income gap that we currently have compared to other groups.

I would also encourage all African Americans to begin to cultivate financial literacy in their offspring at an early age. Percy Sutton made a statement that affected my life at an early age, he stated that "we do not grow up in a culture of business". He also said that "All of my life I have had access to people of abilty, but did not have access to capital, I believe anything is possible if one has access to capital and people of ablity". His statement encouraged me so much that we talking to a few co-workers about opening the Haircut Hut Barbershop Franchise, I immediately responded letÂ’s get some investors. Oftentimes, in life what we can not do alone we can do together.

Business often needs different mindset, skillsets, and people of different financial means to get a business off the ground. I am encouraged that our future generations will produce outstanding businessman and businesswomen. An old saying is that what first appears in the race must, must first appear individual. We will begin to bridge the gap when we begin to teach our children the value of savings, and investing at an early age. The establishment of youth entreprenuerial programs will be an added benifit to our future generations. The earlier we begin this new model of achievement, the more we will be able to stay ahead of the learning program.

Every African American Businessman and Businesswomen should look to mentor a member of the future generation to ensure an ongoing legacy, and to maximize the time our future generation will have to work with business concepts. In the book "Rich Dad Poor Dad" Robert Kiosaki states that when you have the education, and experience, increased capital will soon come. W. E. B. Dubois was an advocate of planning and stated that we should plan our lives fifthy years in advace. He also said that "To live life without planning is to live life as if life is not a serious thing". I had the experience of running the Haircut Hut Barbershop Franchise for a period of over ten years.

In this experience I learned how to make a million dollars, and it created a tremendous amount of leverage for me in my life. I was able to take the running of a simple barbershop and catipult that experience to open doors for me such as being elected to the Board of Directors of the 100 Black Men, Roosevelt Chamber of Commerce, Hempstead NAACP Board, West Indian Chamber of Commerce, and recieve the Nassau Council Chambers of Commerce/Roosevelt Chamber of Commerce Small Business Person of the year award in 1995, and the Nassau Council Chambers of Commerce/West Indian Chamber of Commerce Small Business Person of the Year award in 1998.

Today I am still a member of the Board of Directors of 100 Black Men, African Atlantic Geneaological Association Board Member, Harlem Book Fair of Long Island Public Relations Director, Queens Book Fair Public Relations Director, Blackbusinesscircle. com PR Director, Awarenessmagazine. net PR Director, and Cbbooksdistribution. com PR Director. In order for African Americans to bridge the gap between income disparities we must start sooner than later.

Time is one of the greatest resources that we have while we are on this planet. It is often said that Bill Gates is given the same 24 hours in a day as each in everyone of us. The question remains are you fully utilizing your all of your God Given attributes to your fullest potential. In our space, in our time, we can and must make a difference. Let do it.

Phil Andrews is the Public Relations Director for Blackbusinesscircle. com and is the CEO of P. A. Public Relations Co. in NYC. Rev. Lynda T. Rassman Receives Award for 'Praise-Worthy' Efforts in the Fight Against HIV/AIDS

Rev. Lynda T. Rassman Receives Award for 'Praise-Worthy' Efforts in the Fight Against HIV/AIDS

Rev. Linda T. Rassman to receive The Pocketbook Honors in recognition of her commitment to education, awareness and prevention in the fight against the AIDS epidemic. This award ceremony is part of the on-stage production of The Pocketbook Monologues making its New York City premiere on June 28, 2008. Two amazing performances will be held featuring Kim Coles, Phyllis Yvonne Stickney, Jacque Reid, Sheron Smith, Toni Belafonte, Taylor Jenkins-Thompson and creator Sharon K. McGhee.

New York, NY (PRWEB) June 20, 2008

Rev. Lynda T. Rassman will receive The Pocketbook Honors on June 28 in New York City. The award will be presented in a ceremony following a special afternoon performance of The Pocketbook Monologues.

"Rev. Lynda T. Rassman is a true champion and proponent of AIDS education and awareness. This is our first year presenting the award and she sets a high standard," says Sharon K. McGhee, creator of The Pocketbook Monologues. The Pocketbook Honors is bestowed to community leaders who have exhibited a commitment to promoting awareness and prevention of HIV/AIDS, with an emphasis on African-American women's sexuality, intimacy and responsibility. Honorees may be recognized for program implementation, creativity in outreach methods, philosophy, mission longevity and/or systemic solutions or alliances.

"Her vision and leadership have been phenomenal and we are so pleased to present her with The Pocketbook Honors this year," says presenters, Dr. Miriam Burnett, President of R. A.P. H.A. Foundation, Inc., and Cheryl Scales, President of Magnificent Women Organization.

A native of South Carolina, Rev. Lynda T. Rassman was called to the ministry at the age of 12, and activated her faith at the age of 19. Since immersing herself into what she described as a 'more holistic ministry', Rev. Rassman has dedicated her life to helping children and families, including 23 years spent teaching special education.

Rev. Rassman's first pastoral charge in a Southern Jersey congregation was a member who had been infected with HIV. At the time there were few facts, and a great sense of fear of the disease loomed over both the church and the community. When she visited the member's home she immediately realized that she had been called to fight the fear of HIV/AIDS with education. She embarked on a mission of educating the community and helping and encouraging others lead, lift and support from the heart those who were facing HIV/AIDS.

Rev. Rassman has played an integral part in the New Jersey Human Development Corporation as Program Director of Project F. A.I. T.H (Families Acquiring Information Together on HIV/AIDS). Project F. A.I. T.H. is a statewide, community-level HIV/AIDS education and prevention program that targets faith leaders in various houses of worship or non-traditional settings throughout the State of New Jersey. Rev. Rassman also serves as the Program Director of Project Rebuild, SISTAS and Rapid Testing.

This year the Pocketbook Honors will be presented to Rev. Lynda T. Rassman, as well as Rev. J. Stanley Justice and Maxine Frere in conjunction with the New York City premiere of The Pocketbook Monologues featuring creator Sharon K. McGhee, Kim Coles, Phyllis Yvonne Stickney, Jacque Reid, Toni Belafonte, Sheron Smith and Harlem's Coin Purse, Taylor Jenkins-Thompson. The entertaining event is made possible with partners, the Magnificent Women Organization, The Muse - A Kimpton Hotel, R. A.P. H.A. Foundation, Inc., and Pocketbook Media. The on-stage production will take place at the Helen Mills Theatre. Tickets are $35.00 for General Admission and $75.00 for VIP Seating, which also includes an autographed copy of The Pocketbook Monologues. 'Meet & Greet' Private Celebrity Reception tickets are also available.

Annie's Costumes Online Halloween Superstore's new iBusinessLogic 'Powered by Frooition' eBay Stores design theme to be highlighted in keynote speech at eBay Live 2008

Annie's Costumes Online Halloween Superstore's new iBusinessLogic 'Powered by Frooition' eBay Stores design theme to be highlighted in keynote speech at eBay Live 2008

The debut of Annie's Costumes (Extreme Halloween Inc.) eBay Stores design featuring Frooition eBay Stores technology and iBusinessLogic graphics will occur during Internet marketing expert Jay Berkowitz's keynote address entitled the Ten Golden Rules of Internet Marketing. The speech will be presented Friday June 20th following the welcome message presentation by eBay CEO John Donahoe in the main hall at McCormick Place in Chicago. Jay Berkowitz's speech will follow the tenets of his soon-to-be-released Ten Golden Rules of Internet Marketing book and will focus upon eBay marketing of the future, including the use of today's hot social networks like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn as well as other Web 2.0 marketing techniques.

Largo, FL (PRWEB) June 17, 2008

iBusinessLogic Corporation (http://ibusinesslogic. com) (Largo, Florida) is very pleased to be working with Ten Golden Rules and their client Extreme Halloween Inc. to design a Halloween themed eBay store for the company's Annie's Costumes brand. Extreme Halloween owners Harold Maxwell and daughter Shari McConahay operate 13 related eCommerce websites offering seasonal and year-round costumes and costume-related merchandise.

The company, whose corporate offices are located in Dania, Florida, started as a Hallmark retailer in the 1980s and transitioned into costume sales in 1996 with an online superstore concept. Extreme Halloween utilized eBay sales in the past with a generic eBay Stores off-the-shelf design using the eBay provided Sell Your Item form or Turbo Lister to list overstock merchandise. This system presented a problem for eBay sales during peak seasons, as it was too difficult to scale up to meet demand during the peak costume sales months. The company would simply close their eBay store during those peak selling periods because inventory could not be reconciled with the existing eBay tools.

This unique design and operational challenge offered iBusinessLogic Corporation of Largo, Florida an opportunity to debut its AuctionLogic eBay listing & inventory management suite and its premier international business alliance with U. K. based eBay design firm Frooition at eBay Live 2008. iBusinessLogic. com provides ecommerce, eBay and online social marketing solutions to small business merchants nationwide.

IBusinessLogic is providing the Annie's eBay operation with its AuctionLogic (http://auction-logic. com) eBay listing and inventory management solution to help the company grow and meet the needs of eBay buyers at the same time. AuctionLogic is a web-based eBay listing tool and management suite which will import standard inventory formats and allow reconciliation of Extreme Halloween's inventory with their eBay inventory at a cost effective fixed price. Annie's new eBay Stores design theme will be continued on every listing with the implementation of an integrated template in the AuctionLogic listing program once the inventory import is complete.

AuctionLogic (http://auction-logic. com) does not charge per listing or final value fees and can perform the duties of several employees with an easy to use and understand interface. Harold Maxwell was especially excited to know that AuctionLogic exports data to UPS WorldShip, allowing him to streamline the shipping process in the company's warehouses. "We are enjoying the relationship with iBusinessLogic and are excited about the opportunities available to offer our costume products on eBay year round" said Harold and Shari.

Now that Annie's Costumes main eBay storefront is installed, the next phase of iBusinessLogic's redesign of Annie's eBay store will be to complete an eBay "me" page featuring Annie's innovative SecondLife Halloween store concept. While new eBay rules will prevent any hard links from the "me" page to the SecondLife site, plans are still to show screenshots or video clips of this virtual world store. The new eBay Stores design was influenced greatly by the concept presented in this SecondLife project. Besides the Second Life Halloween costume shop, Annie's Costumes also built a virtual haunted house which features blood stained walls and a maze of catacombs underneath the house for Second Lifers to explore and get a thrill. As a sponsor for Halloween Hall of Fame, Annie's Costumes built a virtual museum to honor the members who have made Halloween a popular holiday. From a mom and pop business to an online Halloween costume shop and an eBay store to a virtual destination, Annie's Costumes continues to innovate and change how Halloween costumes are sold.

About iBusinessLogic Corporation:
IBusinessLogic (http://ibusinesslogic. com (http://ibusinesslogic. com)) is the culmination of a concept created by CEO Scott Pooler of All Business Auctions (http://allbusinessauctions. com (http://allbusinessauctions. com)) and publisher of the eBay specialty blog known as the Trading Assistant Journal (http://tradingassistantjournal. com (http://tradingassistantjournal. com)). Scott has been selling on eBay since 1998 and has been a Powerseller, Trading Assistant, ebay education specialist and ecommerce marketing merchant. Scott's concept was to create a single entity, much like an insurance agency or electronics distributor, which could offer all facets of ecommerce tools, solutions and technologies in a one stop shop. iBusinessLogic works with the leading providers of internet merchant solutions to provide the end user and client the best solutions to fit their needs. While Scott Pooler's background is heavily focused upon eBay, eBay tools like AuctionLogic (part of the company) and listing strategies. The company has interests and clients beyond eBay, with a primary focus on social marketing optimization and web 2.0 Internet consulting. "The tools and skills we developed in graphics, software and marketing analysis for eBay have transferred very well to our blog platform and content management systems development programs," said Kathy Naranjo, President of iBusinessLogic.

About Annie's Costumes:

Online Nursing Programs Serve Escalating Demand for Nurses

Online Nursing Programs Serve Escalating Demand for Nurses

ELearners. com Offers Guide to Online Nursing Degrees: Online education is proving to be part of the healing process for the accelerating nursing shortage, according to recent information from eLearners. com, a web resource of EducationDynamics that connects prospective students with online learning providers. According to eLeaners. com, nursing subjects are the second most searched programs on the site behind business degrees among the more than one million unique visitors to the site each month.

Hoboken, NJ (PRWEB) April 9, 2008

Online education is proving to be part of the healing process for the accelerating nursing shortage, according to recent information from eLearners. com, a web resource of EducationDynamics that connects prospective students with online learning providers. According to eLeaners. com, nursing subjects are the second most searched programs on the site behind business degrees among the more than one million unique visitors to the site each month. To answer this demand, eLearners. com offers a Guide to Online Nursing Degrees (http://www. elearners. com/online-degrees/nursing. htm).

"The growth in demand for online nursing programs (http://www. elearners. com/online-degrees/nursing. htm) comes as no surprise given the data," said Terrence Thomas, Chief Marketing Officer for eLearners. com. "But, what is surprising is the number of prospective nursing students that are turning to online education to achieve their nursing career goals."

As the baby boomer population continues to age, the healthcare industry is feeling the pinch. According to a March 2008 report "The Future of the Nursing Workforce in the United States: Data, Trends and Implications", the U. S. will be short by about half-million nurses by 2025. Despite the interest in this career field, there is a lack of space and resources at traditional nursing colleges which is hampering the progress toward addressing this shortage. The American Association of Colleges of Nursing found that more than 30,000 qualified applicants didn't make it into nursing programs in 2006, due largely to a lack of nurse faculty.

"This is quite an astonishing and disturbing stumbling block for the nursing profession, which requires nurses to hold a bachelor's and/or master's degree," continued Thomas. "Fortunately, online education (http://www. elearners. com/) breaks down the barriers of traditionally delivered education. The classrooms and faculty are essentially limitless."

In March 2008, The Council on Physician and Nurse Supply reported that 30,000 nursing students need to graduate every year to meet U. S. healthcare needs. That's a 30 percent increase over the number of nurses currently graduating every year. In addition, the U. S. Bureau of Labor says more than one million new and replacement nurses will be needed in the next eight years, making it one of the fastest growing professions in the U. S.

To help provide answers to prospective nursing students about online degree programs, eLearners. com has created the "Guide to Online Nursing Degrees" (http://www. elearners. com/guide/guide-to-nursing. asp). In addition to providing information on more than 80 accredited online nursing degree (http://www. elearners. com/online-degrees/nursing. htm) programs, ranging from an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing to a Nursing Ph. D., the guide answers questions such as:
What is nursing? Is an online nursing degree right for me? What concentrations exist for online nursing degrees? What courses will I take in an online nursing degree? What careers in nursing will I be ready for?

For more information on nursing degrees, online education, and how to finance a college education, visit http://www. eLearners. com (http://www. eLearners. com).

The Bonita Trust Funds Darwin and Gender Project Launched by Cambridge University

The Bonita Trust Funds Darwin and Gender Project Launched by Cambridge University

A groundbreaking new study that will look at Charles Darwin's impact on attitudes to gender and sexuality has been announced by Cambridge University.

Gibraltar, United Kingdom (PRWEB) October 27, 2009

The Darwin and Gender project (http://www. darwinproject. ac. uk/content/view/159/30/) - funded by a £480,000 donation from The Bonita Trust (http://www. bonitatrust. org) - will make available for the first time in a single resource Darwin's private and largely unpublished writings relevant to all aspects of gender; in particular, a large body of the great naturalist's own letters.

Key to the funding arrangement is the appointment of an Educational Officer in 2010 who will work in partnership with schools and universities to bring the material to as wide an audience as possible.

Ruth Parasol DeLeon (http://www. bonitatrust. org/ruth_parasol. html), founding member of The Bonita Trust International Advisory Board says, "Many of the issues raised by Darwin in his correspondence have great relevance to modern society. The Darwin and Gender project will allow a wider audience an insight into how his views on gender shaped Victorian society. The encouragement of women in the fields of science and technology is one of Bonita's core activities around the world, and Bonita is delighted to support the important research to be undertaken by Cambridge University."

The research for the three-year project will be overseen by the Darwin Correspondence Project at Cambridge University Library.

It is anticipated that the project will illuminate such private relationships as that of Darwin with his elder surviving daughter, Henrietta. Too young to be much involved in the writing of On the Origin of Species, she is likely to emerge as of hitherto unsuspected importance in the writing of The Descent of Man, Darwin's first public statement on human evolution..

Darwin had a surprisingly large number of other female correspondents throughout his life (some 148), many of them - such as Mary Boole (pictured) - practicing scientists in their own right.

Among the specific areas that Darwin and Gender will address are Darwin's domestic life, gender in a scientific context and gender and society.

Researchers funded over three years by The Bonita Trust will provide accurate transcripts of the letters and research and write contextual material to make them accessible to both scholars and the general public as well as to schools and Universities.

Project director Professor Jim Secord said: "These are extraordinary letters that deserve a wide audience. Differences between the sexes played a key role in Darwin's thinking, which in turn had a major impact on Victorian society."

Notes to editors:
The Bonita Trust is a philanthropic trust established under Gibraltar law in 2004 by a subsidiary of PartyGaming Plc, prior to its London Stock Exchange flotation in 2005. The Trust is served by an International Advisory Board whose first member was Ruth Parasol DeLeon.

Bonita has focused the majority of its community grant-making in the United Kingdom, India, Israel, and Gibraltar and has since inception, donated over £7.5 million pounds to charities leveraging technology to deliver programmes in the areas of education, health and entrepreneurship working in partnership with communities worldwide.

Bonita also provides technological expertise in order to help charities promote themselves on the internet and increase their reach, and therefore their delivery of support.

The Darwin Correspondence Project was founded in 1974. It originally set out to locate, research, and publish summaries of, all letters written by Charles Darwin, extending the Project to include letters written to him. To date, the project has located, both in libraries and in private collections, a total of around 14,500 letters exchanged by Darwin and nearly 2000 correspondents around the world between 1821 and his death in 1882. New letters continue to be discovered, and the Project is now engaged in an active hunt for others so that the corpus will be as comprehensive as possible.

Research and Markets: Heart Failure - Pumping Up Therapy Will Prevent Failure

Research and Markets: Heart Failure - Pumping Up Therapy Will Prevent Failure

Dublin, (PRWEB) June 14, 2005

Research and Markets (http://www. researchandmarkets. com/reports/c18933 (http://www. researchandmarkets. com/reports/c18933)) has announced the addition of Stakeholder Insight: Heart Failure - Pumping Up Therapy Will Prevent Failure to their offering

During the past two decades, heart failure has emerged as a major chronic disease among the elderly population in the major pharmaceutical markets. The leading cause of hospitalization among patients over the age of 65 in Western markets, heart failure represents a major burden for healthcare systems but is a highly attractive development market for pharmaceutical and medical device companies.

183 physician interviews were carried out across the seven major pharmaceutical markets, including cardiologists and primary care physicians. Key opinion leader interviews were carried out with heart failure specialists. The report includes estimated prevalence and incidence of heart failure by country for the seven major pharmaceutical markets. Detailed treatment trees show chronic and acute heart failure patient flows at country levels.

The diagnosis and treatment of chronic heart failure is sub-optimal with physicians failing to follow established guidelines. This suggests the need for continued physician education and a greater communication between the various physician types who manage heart failure patients. Prevention along with improved treatment may be needed to stem the growth of heart failure and limit the societal burden of the disease.

This research reveals that acute heart failure patients experience a high rate of re-hospitalization, suggesting that there is a strong unmet need for more effective treatment in acute heart failure in order to improve outcomes. New therapeutic options may provide a solution to this issue.

This report identifies the future direction of therapy, the remaining unmet needs, and the opportunities for both pharmaceutical and medical device companies. It can help the reader determine when and how therapies are prescribed, which compounds within each class lead prescriptions, and understand physician prescribing practices. The report examines best patient treatment protocols and improvements that need to be made to produce better patient outcomes.

Monitoring Onset and Progression of Alzheimer's & Dementia with Handwriting

Monitoring Onset and Progression of Alzheimer's & Dementia with Handwriting

The Hand Behind the Word: Handwriting Analysis JAQS Style (LLX Press 2005, ISBN 0971710732, $16.95) introduces the abbreviated JAQS Style handwriting sample format for research, business and education. Author and handwriting expert Jerral Sapienza is also a caregiver educator and author of the caregiving classic, Urgent Whispers: Care of the Dying (LLX Press 2002, ISBN 0971710708, $14.95). Sapienza's research interests include the controversial use of handwriting as an early monitoring tool for Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and other dementia.

(PRWEB) April 16, 2005

"Although we may not typically make an association between handwriting analysis and dementia," says Jerral Sapienza, author of the new book The Hand Behind the Word. "Handwriting can be useful for monitoring the onset of dementia (Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, etc.) as well as the efficacy of drugs and therapies in the treatment and progression of the disease. Dementia is a degeneration of brain function and personality. Handwriting analysis is a reflection of what's going on in the brain and personality at any point in time. Handwriting changes as we change and is always a reflection of the present. It can be an immediate, inexpensive diagnostic tool unlike brain scans or complicated personality inventories."

The Hand Behind the Word is a basic handwriting analysis sourcebook for teambuilding and matchmaking, general curiosities and self-help enthusiasts as well as counselors, researchers and hiring managers. Full of examples and discussions about form, structure and interpretation of handwriting, The Hand Behind the Word is also the only handwriting book to include the JAQS Style sample and its meaning and interpretation of numbers or digits, the single most common form of handwriting.

Media contacts and talk show hosts are invited to request a review copy of the book and/or schedule an interview. Sapienza is available for corporate trainings, research consultation and custom events. Please visit http://WWW. HandBehindTheWord. com (http://WWW. HELP CHARITIES, CHURCHES, AND YOUR CLUBS BY DEALING DRUGS

HELP CHARITIES, CHURCHES, AND YOUR CLUBS BY DEALING DRUGS

Dr. Jim Claunch, a former United Methodist pastor, and Mac McWhirter, a former U. S. Army Drill Sergeant are now in the business of selling drugs. They are also trying to involve as many other people as they can to sell drugs. Why? It is going to help churches, schools, civic organizations and many other groups to raise the funds they need to do the good they do in our communities. The best part is that the organizations will not need to spend any money or to go begging their members and supporters for money. How is this possible? The members and supporters simply fill out an enrollment form and request Front Door Pharmacy to deliver their prescription drugs to their door and bill their insurance company, just as their local pharmacy is already doing. The prescription is delivered right to the personÂ’s front door and a service phone call makes sure the customer is happy.

(PRWEB) September 26, 2002

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

HELP CHARITIES, CHURCHES, AND YOUR CLUBS BY DEALING DRUGS

FOREST ACRES, SC – September 25th, 2002 Forest Acres, South Carolina (Xpress Press)- Dr. The prescription is delivered right to the person’s front door and a service phone call makes sure the customer is happy.

ThatÂ’s great but what about the organization making money? Front Door Pharmacy is going to give 25% of their profits to the club, church, or charity that has their members and supporters enroll to fulfill their regular monthly prescriptions with FDP. For example, if a group had 100 members and the average portion of the profit per customer was $3.00 then the club, church or organization would get $300 each month those prescriptions were filled. Once it is set up, the revenue for the organization continues to come in month after month. In a year, they have made $3600. In two years Â… $7200. If they had 1000 supporters the revenue might be $3000 per month and $36,000 per year, and $72,000 in two years. This might be a wonderful program for a school that needs more community support, but has a shrinking education budget. Also a Chamber of Commerce might want to involve all its members in an effort to raise money for local projects. The applications for this are all but unlimited, because almost everyone orders prescription drugs and almost every non-profit group needs funds.

For profit businesses might want to have their employees and customers order their prescriptions in this way so, that the profits could be used for employee bonus money or special awards. All this could be done with no extra cost to the organization or to the employees, as their insurance would simply be paying FDP instead of a local pharmacy. Funds are raised and could be given by the business to help the survivors of 9-11 or the American Cancer Society.

Often time businesses wish to help their local communities or contribute to charity, but they do not see the funds in a tight business budget to do what they wish to do. Now there is a way that does not require funding. Over time the profits shared by FDP with the organizations can be very substantial, as profit sharing is done month after month on all reorders. All that the business, organization, church, or club needs to do is to have their members fill out a simple enrollment form to turn over to Front Door Pharmacy. The member then picks up their next prescription in their usual manner, but the following month it will come direct to their door saving them time, but also helping out their favorite club, charity or cause at no additional cost to anyone. FDP has a very creative idea which allows organizations to raise money without begging for money, doing bake sales or car washes. Members feel great knowing that as they spend money on prescriptions they are also helping their favorite organization. In todayÂ’s time crunched world saving twenty minutes driving to the drug store and waiting in the line for the prescription might be the best thing about this for many people. Time is also saved from doing car washes and bake sales. No asking for money; funds raised by good organizations for doing good; and people saving time which would have been spent washing cars, doing bake sales and picking up prescriptions at the local pharmacy - looks like a winning idea.

The preacher and the drill sergeant selling drugs might not be such a bad idea if it helps raise funds for groups that are doing good, and also saves their members time in a busy world. If you would like to deal some drugs to help your church, club, organization or business you can check them out at www. fdpmarketing. com or call 803-787-1213 for their free brochure. Dr. Jim Claunch is the President of Front Door Pharmacy and "Mac McWhirter is the Executive Vice President.

You done good boys and perhaps you will help a great deal more good be done. It is time that something involving drugs in this nation had a positive application, and this looks like it could be it.

FDP NEEDS LOCAL REPRESENATIVES - $100,000 FIRST YEAR POTENTIAL INCOME - Front Door Pharmacy will also be needing hundreds of people across the United States and Canada to work as independent sales representatives. It is very possible that a new representative working full time will make in excess of $100,000 the first year, and it will build with residuals year after year. There is no franchise cost involved for the representatives and they may work in a part time status at first. They will be trained and supported by their State Director and Regional Director. If you are interested in a position sharing this fundraising idea with groups, clubs and organizations please fax or email your resume to the contact below.

King Abdullah University of Science and Technology Receives 41 Proposals for KAUST Research Centers Worldwide

King Abdullah University of Science and Technology Receives 41 Proposals for KAUST Research Centers Worldwide

Global Research Partnership of King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) forms Technical Advisory Committee of leading scientists and engineers.

Dhahran, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (PRWEB) November 9, 2007

Forty-one of the world's leading scientific and engineering research universities have submitted proposals for new or expanded research centers to the Global Research Partnership (GRP) (http://www. kaust. edu. sa/research/global-partnership. aspx) of King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) (http://www. kaust. edu. sa/research/global-partnership. aspx). This global competition is the first major step in establishing KAUST Centers - university-based, multi-investigator research programs focused on KAUST mission areas - around the globe.

The KAUST Global Research Partnership is a 10-year, peer-reviewed, merit-based program to fund research in the areas of science and technology that are important to Saudi Arabia, the region, and the world, while simultaneously linking KAUST to the existing global research enterprise. KAUST, an international, graduate-level science and technology research university now under development in Saudi Arabia, launched the GRP in August 2007 as a part of its strategy to build the University's research capacity (http://www. kaust. edu. sa/research/default. aspx).

By the October 31 deadline, the KAUST GRP program received 34 preliminary proposals for Centers and seven for Centers-in-Development, with roughly equal distribution from North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. More than a third of the proposals call for considerable inter-institutional and global collaboration, and about 10 percent of the proposals include named, substantial collaborators from private industry. KAUST Center grants are for five years of support at up to US$5 million per year; Center-in-Development grants are for up to US$1.5 million per year for three years.

"The quality and focus of the proposals confirms what we had hoped when we designed the GRP Center program," said KAUST Interim Vice President for Research, Mohamed Samaha, Ph. D. "Many of the world's most accomplished and capable research universities have invested significant effort and resources in preparing competitive proposals for work of importance to KAUST and the region. That is a gratifying validation of the global university-based research community's support for KAUST and its mission of contribution to Saudi Arabia and the world."

New National Organization Launched To Create Support And Education For Independent Gospel Music Managers And Booking Agents

Columbus, OH (PRWEB) October 8, 2004

Gospel Managers and Booking Agents nationwide have recently come together to form the Gospel Managers and Booking Agents Association, Inc. (GMBAA) under the leadership of Mr. Ernest Barfield, President of GMBAA and Press Play Entertainment. The GMBAA was founded in May 2003 and is a non-profit organization. It is organized and dedicated to serving the gospel music management and agent community by adopting a code of ethics; providing educational manuals; offering discounts on products and services; supplying promotional resources; drafting quarterly newsletters and creating opportunities to cultivate professional relationships through sponsored GMBAA events.

“We are very excited about the support we’ve receive from the gospel industry. Our board of directors and advisory board cover all areas of the industry from television, media, internet, marketing and clergy. We want independent managers, booking agents and artists to have a full service resource and to have a place to go to find a quality referral service” says Barfield.

The concept of the GMBAA was formulated during a conversation that occurred between Mr. Barfield and Dr. Bobby Jones while attending the Bobby Jones Gospel Artist Retreat in May 2003. The idea drove Mr. Barfield to join himself with other veterans Richard Byrd (JR Byrd and Associates, LLC) and Vernita R. Naylor (Jabez Entertainment Group – JEG); thus, forming a collaboration of industry experts that shared the same vision of GMBAA. In December 2003, GMBAA launched its first presentation at the Bobby Jones International Gospel Industry Artist Retreat with overwhelming result. After the presentation, Mr. Richard Byrd said the following:

“We are thrilled about the initialization of the GMBAA and expect to reach our membership goals before the close of this year.”

The GMBAA is calling all managers and booking agents to join us in our endeavors to make this organization a success. This is an opportunity to unite in what can possibly become the most effective network in the industry.

“The Gospel Managers and Booking Agents Association is a major part of the gospel music industry that is able to promote and book gospel artist in a serious, professional manner. Payday Loan and Cash Advances Services; Friend or Foe?

Payday Loan and Cash Advances Services; Friend or Foe?

Payday Loan and Cash Advance services has become a multi-billion dollar industry in The United States. Many individuals find them helpful, while an almost equal amount find them destructive, which leads to the question, Payday Loan services; friend or foe?

Hackensack, NJ (PRWEB) October 26, 2005

Cash advance and Payday Loan services, which are also commonly known as paycheck advances, personal loans and pay advance services are becoming a hot topic in local and Federal government.

A Payday Loan advance is a fee based financial service that provides an individual with an unsecured, short-term cash advance until their next payday. To qualify, you must be 18 years of age or over, a United States citizen, and have a provable income of one thousand dollars a month. Once you're approved for the cash advance, the payday loan amount will be electronically deposited into your checking or savings account. A payday loan can be applied for either online (there are multiple online cash advance services), via a telephone service, or, in some states, an actual pay advance store front.

The practice of these services however has come under fire recently. While there are many advocates of the service, there are almost as many disparagers.

While the proponents of the service praise its ease of use and availability, its detractors evoke harsh criticism of high fees and the allure of being able to repeatedly borrow money from these services.

Some local government has even gone as far as to banish the service from their state, and the issue has even come up in big government.

The biggest issue with these cash advance and payday loan services is actually personal responsibility. First, an individual needs to educate themselves to how the service works. Secondly, one must decide the proper usage of the service. As an example of a proper usage, an individual may apply for a cash advance to avoid late charges on a credit card, and also avoid the harmful damage a missed payment can do to their credit rating. If one is utilizing the service for the sake of having extra cash or to take a vacation, or to partake in something they really can't afford, the service can then become destructive.

The same common sense and personal responsibility should be applied to this service as one would apply to credit card use or any other type of loans. Establishing needs as opposed to wants is very important in making a proper decision with the service.

While proper usage of the service can be helpful, especially in emergency circumstances, improper uses of Cash Advances can lead to a reliance on the service, heavy fees and lead to more destructive financial problems.

When it comes to Payday Loans and Cash Advances, just like any other financial service, understanding your options and educating yourself is always the most prudent way to move ahead.

ANOVA Science Education Corporation Releases New Book to Assist Teachers Through the Challenges of Preparing for Inquiry-Based Science Instruction

ANOVA Science Education Corporation Releases New Book to Assist Teachers Through the Challenges of Preparing for Inquiry-Based Science Instruction

The newest release from ANOVA Science Education Corporation is available to schools nationwide. "Look at Me Now!: Motivate Young Minds to Think & Learn Through Scientific Inquiry" explains the rationale behind inquiry-based instruction and leads teachers of all grade levels through the steps in planning a guided inquiry. Both reviewers and teacher consumers already give this teacher-friendly scientific inquiry book a unanimous thumbs-up.

Honolulu, HI (PRWEB) August 15, 2006

ANOVA Science Education Corporation (ANOVA Science; http://www. anovascience. com (http://www. anovascience. com)) announced today that its subdivision, ANOVA Science Publishing, has officially released its newest book for kindergarten through college teachers -- "Look at Me Now!: Motivate Young Minds to Think & Learn Through Scientific Inquiry." Written as an instructional tool, "Look at Me Now!" assists teachers who plan to incorporate the scientific inquiry process into their instructional practices.

The author, neuroscientist and science education specialist Robert E. Landsman, Ph. D., draws much of the book's content from many of his own real-life experiences -- from childhood to professional scientist and teacher of science. Beginning with the factors that personally motivated him to understand the power of instruction of science and the fostering of critical thinking skills through scientific inquiry, the author delves briefly into the underlying research that supports the foundation for the call for teachers to begin using inquiry-based approaches to instruction. At the heart of the book is a clear description of the components of scientific inquiry and how they can be drawn-in to serve as a process for thinking and learning in the classroom. Here, the author describes the Research Investigation Process (RIP™), a scientific inquiry thinking model that he developed for use in K-12 education. Of considerable use to "first-time" inquiry teachers, or those who are honing their inquiry-based instructional skills, is a chapter devoted exclusively to the planning of a teacher-guided scientific inquiry.

"Look at Me Now!" has received a unanimous thumbs-up from both teachers who have already begun using the book and reviewers. One reviewer, Dr. Don DeWitt, teacher of science at Bergen County Academies in Hackensack, NJ, stated, "This book explains the nuts and bolts of this process in a sometimes light, simplified tone that can make the most difficult concepts easy to digest and implement in any classroom. This book is a must for every teacher!"

"Look at Me Now!," focusing predominantly on instruction through guided inquiry, complements Dr. Landsman's two other recently published books on scientific inquiry and critical thinking. "RIP-ing Through Scientific Inquiry: Critical Thinking and Effective Decision Making Skills for Middle School and High School Science Education" introduces the Research Investigation Process (RIP™). The RIP scientific inquiry program, designed to teach science to and develop critical thinking skills in K-12 students, combines his 30 years of scientific research experience and 15 years of teaching at the secondary level. This book can be used either independently or as a companion to "Data Analysis and Decision Making in Scientific Inquiry: A Statistical Approach for Middle School and High School Science Education." This student-friendly guidebook illustrates how to summarize and analyze data collected in scientific inquiry-based field and laboratory studies.

"We are very excited about the accolades we have already received about our new book from our most critical consumer -- the teachers," commented Dr. Landsman, also president of the corporation. "Together, our publications position ANOVA Science to take a lead role in supporting student achievement through the introduction of RIP-based scientific inquiry into K-12 instruction on the national level."

The RIP, a scientific research-based program, is recognized as one of the Nation's 15 Exemplar Programs in high school science education based on evidence from secondary level student products and impact on post-secondary academic and career performance. This program was recently highlighted in the National Science Teachers Association's (NSTA) "Exemplary Science" series publication, "Exemplary Science in Grades 9-12: Standards-Based Success Stories," and featured as part of the Exemplary Science Program at the 2006 Annual NSTA National Conference on Science Education. RIP scientific inquiry has also proven effective for elementary level instruction, as evidenced by a number of successful RIP-scientific inquiry products from elementary school classes presented by their teachers at this year's Annual NSTA National Conference.

ANOVA Science Education Corporation assists schools in implementing scientific research-based science education programs, providing students with critical thinking and decision making tools for life-long learning skills that support economic growth and the maintenance of security in the USA. As sole distributor of products and services associated with the Research Investigation Process (RIP™) inquiry-based science education program for K-12 schools, the contribution of ANOVA Science's vision, services, and products toward the nation's movement for science education reform has been recognized and is well-received by national and state education organizations. ANOVA Science's activities and services include professional development workshops, seminars, and projects; teacher coaching and mentoring; curriculum development addressing state and national standards; and publishing education materials available online at http://www. anovascience. com (http://www. anovascience. com). For more information, and a chance to speak directly with Dr. Landsman, please call (808) 741-8512 or visit www. anovascience. com.
