Domains Guru, Inc. Launches Domain Name Consultation & Brokerage Services

Domains Guru, Inc. Launches Domain Name Consultation & Brokerage Services

New company to provide expert domain name consultation for businesses globally

Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) February 15, 2010

Domains Guru, Inc. is embarking on an exciting new journey, with the recent launch of the domains consultation company. The company provides a variety of services that relate to the complex management issues of domain names in today’s marketplace.

DomainsGuru. com (http://www. domainsguru. com) understands that in the competitive business world, having a strong and protected domain name is an integral part of a company’s success. As CEO Abdu Tarabichi explained, his team can walk you through the entire process of acquiring, managing and selling domains.

The company deals with the complex issues that people and businesses face every day when navigating the domain name industry, which has been called e-real estate in our changing world. As Mr. Tarabichi stated, "Just as a person would consult with an attorney when legal issues become complex, DomainsGuru. com can provide expert level consultation for this very specific industry. For example, we have consulted with companies who have had domains used or secured by their competitors. We assist our clients with weighing out their options, which can include alternative names that represent their brand, or explaining the actions that are within their rights if they feel someone has infringed on a company's brand inappropriately."

“We feel that the Domain industry is much like a new frontier for businesses to explore. Businesses need to look at domain names as online real estate, and ensure they make wise purchases that will put them in the right neighborhood and ahead of the competition online.” said Mr. Tarabichi.

The detailed services offered support clients from beginning to end. If you are planning your business, and want to secure the best domain name to drive potential customers to your site, or if you require monitoring of your existing domains to ensure no one infringes on your brand, DomainsGuru. com has the expertise. And, when it comes to managing your e-real estate, DomainsGuru. com understands the complexities of domain brokerage and recovery.

"To the inexperienced, buying, selling and recovering lost domain names can be confusing. Our team understands what fair market values are, and the processes of negotiation to ensure smooth transactions for our clients." Abdu stated.

Abdu Tarabichi founded DomainsGuru. com in 2009, after seeing the challenges that businesses and individuals face when trying to navigate the more complex issues in the domain industry. Mr. Tarabichi has been working with domains since 2001, and has been an active participant in buying, selling and securing trademarked domains for companies worldwide. In addition to being the CEO for the Charlotte, NC based company Domains Guru, Inc., Mr. Tarabichi also manages the Domain Name Knowledge Base (www. dnkb. org), an educational site that provides valued information on domains.

Dartware Helps Federal Network Managers Prepare for IPv6 Deadline: New InterMapper 5.0 Release Includes Support for IPv6 and Database Functionality

Dartware Helps Federal Network Managers Prepare for IPv6 Deadline: New InterMapper 5.0 Release Includes Support for IPv6 and Database Functionality

Dartware, developer of InterMapper network monitoring and mapping software, has released version 5.0 which includes support for the IPv6 protocol.

Hanover, NH (PRWEB) May 22, 2008

Dartware, developer of InterMapper network monitoring and mapping software (http://dartware. com/network_monitoring_products/intermapper/index. html), has released version 5.0 which includes support for the IPv6 protocol. "This is an important release for our Federal agency customers who have a mandate to upgrade their backbone networks to handle IPv6," says Rich Brown, Dartware CEO. (http://dartware. com/about_us/management. html) "One problem they foresee post-upgrade is a lack of network management tools that can track IPv6. We wanted to be sure the InterMapper was ready for them."

IPv6 replaces IPv4, the current Internet protocol. It allows the creation of more IP addresses and security and network management enhancements. The US Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has directed all federal agencies to upgrade their networks to be IPv6-capable by June 30, 2008. "InterMapper 5.0 is able to monitor devices that have IPv6 addresses and supports IPv6 client connections," explains Brown. "That means that InterMapper's network maps, performance and traffic monitoring, reports, and alerts will cover any Federal agency network infrastructure - even after their upgrade."

In addition to network monitoring and mapping, InterMapper 5.0 also includes these new features:

A new InterMapper Database acts as a central repository for data collected from several InterMapper servers. The Database holds event history (ups/downs/alerts) as well historical chart data, as well as snapshot data (maps, devices, interfaces, etc.) that describe the state of each server's managed. The InterMapper Database organizes the data efficiently and provides the means to respond to queries using SQL statements.

Enhanced Nagios Plug-in Support - InterMapper has long supported command-line probes and supplied a template to support specific Nagios plug-ins. In Version 5.0, administrators can set a flag in a command-line probe to direct InterMapper to interpret the performance data (PERFDATA) supplied in the plug-in's output and make it available for display. A new template provides a formatted display of Nagios plug-in perfdata output.

Dartware LLC (http://dartware. com/index. html) develops the InterMapper® family of network mapping and monitoring software. InterMapper earns a quick return on investment by proactively alerting administrators to potential slow-downs, crashes, and other business interruptions. Its real-time, color-coded maps and other displays provide users with an instant view of their network and device status. Dartware's software is installed in financial services, healthcare, retail, education, government, non-profit, WISP and ISP organizations around the world. For more information, visit Dartware. com.

Soluna MD --- The Place For Beauty --- Receives Top Honor From Cynosure, Owner Of Smartlipo Laser Body Sculpting

Soluna MD --- The Place For Beauty --- Receives Top Honor From Cynosure, Owner Of Smartlipo Laser Body Sculpting.

Cynosure designates Soluna MD as an official trainer and clinical reference center for Smartlipo. So, why go anywhere else for physician training or to attain this revolutionary, minimally invasive procedure that offers superior body sculpting and skin-tightening results?

Coral Gables, Fla. (PRWEB) August 28, 2008

Soluna MD, also known as Soluna Aesthetic Center, was recently designated by Smartlipo manufacturer Cynosure as an official trainer and clinical reference center for Smartlipo physical training programs. Recognized by Cynosure for its superior medical staff headed by John W. Chang MD and representation of the highest standards in the profession, Soluna MD is ideally positioned to steer Cynosure toward its goal of providing, through its selection of top Smartlipo physicians, a world-class training program for its physician clients. "We feel that a partnership with Soluna MD will help us attain our goal," says Suzanne McWhinney, Cynosure's director of clinical education.

"This award represents a pivotal and proud moment for us," says Soluna MD owner Alan Khoriaty, who demonstrates his passion for the industry by investing his time researching the latest procedures and technological advancements in cosmetic surgery. "Receiving this designation demonstrates Cynosure's trust in our extensive experience in medicine and cosmetic surgery. It is a tremendous honor, and we look forward to passing on our knowledge and expertise in Smartlipo to physicians training with us, as well as to our patients."

According to Cynosure, Smartlipo is the only laser lipolysis system designed to destroy fat cells and coagulate tissue for tighter skin and is ideal for treating localized fat deposits (smaller areas) on the face and body. The Smartlipo LaserBodySculpting has enabled aesthetic surgeons to provide their patients with a much less invasive technique than traditional liposuction methods.

Its benefits, in addition to its stellar body contouring results, include gently liquefying fat by safe laser energy and removing it from surrounding tissue; the fat cells just melt away. The procedure is performed in-office with local anesthesia, resulting in maximum convenience, very short recovery time (be back to work and play the next day) and minimal discomfort.

In addition, Smartlipo is revered for tightening surrounding skin, promoting collagen growth and requires only one treatment, with results being seen in one week and continued improvement over three to six months. Moreover, Smartlipo is so gentle it can be used in very sensitive, delicate areas of the body. As well, the results with Smartlipo are permanent, it can be used for touch-ups and revisions and is a much safer and more affordable option than traditional liposuction.

Smartlipo obtained U. S. Food and Drug Administration clearance in the fourth quarter of 2006, and has since acquired numerous accolades worldwide from doctors specializing in cosmetic surgery; Smartlipo recipients; and leading publications and programs, such as New Beauty, ABC's "Good Morning America," and Lifetime's "The Balancing Act." Smartlipo is redefining how people view themselves and providing those seeking to improve their body image with a successful, minimally invasive, convenient option to achieve this.

Smartlipo is an ideal procedure for those who wish to dissolve stubborn excess fat, regain a fresh, youthful appearance and rediscover their beauty. Soluna MD is the leading aesthetic and laser center in Florida for those interested in the Smartlipo procedure and for physicians seeking an expert education in Smartlipo. As an official trainer and clinical reference center for Smartlipo physical training programs, Soluna MD brings to its patients and doctors unparalleled qualifications, specialization and passion that positions it high above other cosmetic surgery centers.

New Haven Promise Program Announced by City of New Haven, Board of Education, Yale and Community Foundation

New Haven Promise Program Announced by City of New Haven, Board of Education, Yale and Community Foundation

Through New Haven Promise, eligible students graduating from every New Haven public high school will receive full tuition (for up to four years) to attend a public college or university in Connecticut or up to $2,500 annually to attend a private nonprofit college or university in the State. (This includes New Haven Public Schools or approved public charter school in the City of New Haven.) These funds will be awarded on a scaled basis depending on how long the student has lived in New Haven and attended an eligible school.

New Haven, CT (PRWEB) November 14, 2010

in an assembly before 250 ninth grade students from every high school in the city, Mayor John DeStefano, Jr.; Superintendent Dr. Reginald Mayo; Yale University President Richard C. Levin and William Ginsberg, President of the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven, announced the launch of the New Haven Promise program. New Haven Promise is a visionary scholarship and support program for New Haven Public School students and the capstone of the District’s nationally recognized School Change Initiative. The assembly was broadcast live in all New Haven Public Schools this morning giving every child in the District the opportunity to watch the announcement in real-time.

“Now this is not a give away program. You will have to work hard for your grades and stay focused on positive behavior. But do these two things, and this community is saying to you it will see that you have the resources to compete successfully anywhere and make your life and the lives of those around you measure up to the promise of every gift god blessed you with,” said DeStefano in his address.

“To the parents of these young people, this is a challenge for you too. More than anyone, parents must be invested and responsible for the success of their kids. I challenge you to instill in each of them the aspiration for a college education, and, our shared expectation that these kids once given the tools can and will succeed. Parents we cannot do this for you. But with today’s promise, we can do it with you.”

Yale University is generously committing to fund the actual cost of New Haven Promise scholarships per academic year for the New Haven public school graduating classes of 2011-2014. Funding for subsequent classes will be reviewed and renewed by the NHP Board on an annual basis.

“Yale's strength is inextricably linked to the community's strength. The Promise program builds on the New Haven renaissance of the last two decades that has made our community a national model of urban vitality,” said Levin. “Yale's support flows from our commitment to New Haven and our belief that quality education should be accessible to all. As a good neighbor that has called New Haven home for nearly three centuries, Yale is proud to do our part to make our hometown ever stronger. Our contribution to the Promise program will keep New Haven's renaissance going by helping young people now and in the future.”

In order to ensure that every University dollar and other contributions that will be raised over time go toward the explicit purpose of New Haven Promise scholarships, the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven generously provides the capital needed to administer NHP.

“The Community Foundation’s fundamental commitment to our donors past and present is to do what we think will build a brighter future for our community. By making this promise to the students in New Haven public schools, we are acting on our belief that investing in school change and investing in each student is the way in which we create a brighter future,” said Will Ginsberg, President & CEO of The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven. “The Community Foundation has long believed that education is the base on which long-term social progress is built. For this reason, this promise to New Haven’s students, both current and future, is also a moment of great promise for our city.”

“This program reinforces a fundamental and traditional value that we share in this City: if you work hard, set goals and accomplish those goals, you deserve a bright pathway with every opportunity available to you,” said DeStefano.

New Haven Promise has three goals:
Cultivating an aspiration for college education in New Haven Public School students Building community and parental engagement Growing economic development in the City of New Haven New Haven students who are admitted to and enroll in a Connecticut in-state public 2- or 4-year college or university and who meet residency, civic behavior and academic performance criteria are eligible for this award.

“This is an exceptional day in New Haven! For everything and anything you want to attain in this world, you’re going to need an education and more and more that requirement includes a college education as a bare minimum,” said Mayo as he addressed the students watching the announcement both at COOP and on-line. “New Haven Promise underscores the importance of college and community and how becoming life-long learners will open every door to you.”

Grade-by-grade high school checklists are being made available to every student of a New Haven Public School as well as the three local charter high schools to help students plan and make the right decisions during high school so that they can take full advantage of this important benefit.

Details on eligibility criteria and the steps students need to take to review their eligibility and receive their award are available in every New Haven Public School and on line at http://www. newhavenpromise. org.

Promise is the capstone of the School Change Initiative, the District’s school reform model that was launched when the New Haven Federation of Teachers approved a nationally groundbreaking contract that provided for increased flexibility for teachers and the District.

The School Change Initiative, has set three distinct goals:
Reduce the achievement gap, bringing New Haven students to the Connecticut averages on the CMT and CAPT. Halve the dropout rate in five years. Make sure that every graduating student has the aspiration, academic ability, and the financial resources to attend and succeed in college.

DeStefano will speak on the Yale campus twice next week about New Haven School Change and the Promise program as a Chubb Fellow of Timothy Dwight College at Yale. On Tuesday, November 17, at 4:00 p. m., he will deliver a lecture on "City and Civic Infrastructure" at the Levinson Auditorium in the Sterling Law Buildings at the Yale Law School, 127 Wall Street.

DeStefano will be joined by other education leaders on Wednesday, November 17, at 4:00 p. m. for a discussion on "New Haven School Change and the Path to College" to be held at the Whitney Humanities Center, 53 Wall Street. The Chubb Fellowship was designed to encourage Yale College students in the operations of government, culture and public service, the program brings three or four distinguished women and men to campus every year to give public lectures and interact informally with students. Both events on campus next week are free and open to the public.

New Haven Promise informational meetings for parents will be held at each school the week of November 15, 2010. A schedule of parent meetings is available on line at http://www. newhavenpromise. org

Note: Promise scholarship dollars are considered “last dollars in” and are applied after other scholarships and grants have been applied to a student’s tuition bill. Scholarship is scaled based on continuous and concurrent number of years student is enrolled in New Haven public schools and resides in the City of New Haven.

45,000 Companies Occupy the $135 Billion Wholesale and Retail Auto Parts Industry

Research and Markets (researchandmarkets. com/reports/c35798) has announced the addition of Automobile Parts Wholesale-Retail - Industry Profile to their offering.

Dublin (PRWEB) April 20, 2006

Research and Markets (http://www. researchandmarkets. com/reports/c35798 (http://www. researchandmarkets. com/reports/c35798)) has announced the addition of Automobile Parts Wholesale-Retail - Industry Profile to their offering.

Brief Excerpt from Industry Overview Chapter:

The wholesale and retail auto parts industry includes approximately 45,000 companies with combined annual revenue of $135 billion. Top companies include Genuine Parts, AutoZone, Advance Auto Parts, CSK, and Pep Boys, all with annual sales over $1 billion. About 25 wholesalers and 40 retailers each have annual sales over $100 million. Many large firms operate both wholesale distribution centers and retail stores.

The industry is concentrated at the top: the 50 largest wholesalers hold over 50 percent of the wholesale segment. The retail segment is a bit less concentrated, with the top 50 companies holding about 40 percent of the segment. The used parts segment is highly fragmented.

Competitive Landscape

Demand for aftermarket parts is driven by the age and mileage of vehicles, generally increasing when fewer new cars are sold. The profitability of individual companies depends largely on the volume of goods sold, because many of their costs are fixed. Small companies can compete effectively by carrying specialized parts or providing extra services such as machining or fast delivery. Average annual revenue per employee is about $700,000 for wholesalers; $100,000 for small retailers; and $175,000 for large retailers.

Products, Operations & Technology

The industry sells parts and other products used to maintain and repair cars and trucks in the so-called auto aftermarket.

65 Percent Revenue Growth Attributed to WorkForce Software Planning and Execution in 2008

65 Percent Revenue Growth Attributed to WorkForce Software Planning and Execution in 2008

Workforce Management Software Vendor Expects Continued Growth in 2009

Livonia, Mich. (Vocus) February 24, 2009

WorkForce Software (http://www. workforcesoftware. com/index. html), Inc., a leader in workforce management solutions, reported today that it grew revenue by 65-percent in 2008. Fueled with $5.5 million in investment capital at the beginning of 2008, the company's executive team, led by Kevin Choksi, created and executed on a plan for growth in key industries, including education, financial services, public sector, and utilities. In addition, the company launched a major new release, version 7.0, of its EmpCenter (http://www. workforcesoftware. com/products/products. html)® workforce management suite, which helped win new business.

"We entered 2008 with a strong growth plan and the capital to implement it" said Kevin Choksi (http://www. workforcesoftware. com/company/exec_team. html), president and CEO of WorkForce Software. "We executed that plan and delivered outstanding results."

The investment capital, which came from ORIX Venture Finance early in 2008, also helped WorkForce hire additional experienced people for its sales, marketing, consulting and development teams. "We were able to broaden the coverage of our sales team with A-List players with domain expertise in human capital management and ERP software" said Choksi. "With more feet-on-the-street, we were able to compete in more deals--and win them."

With new customers in the public sector, education, financial services and utilities industries, specifically the utility industry, WorkForce acquired nearly twice as many new customers in 2008 than it did in 2007. WorkForce proactively positioned itself with appropriate resources and augmented its staff with partnerships with leading human capital management consulting firms, including Workforce Insight, Hackett Group, and Axsium Group.

"Each of our consulting partners is currently engaged on EmpCenter projects," said Kathy Cannon, implementation director and co-founder of WorkForce Software. "We are impressed with the skills and knowledge they have brought to these projects and look forward to continuing relationships with each."

WorkForce is also well positioned for 2009 and expects strong results. "While we continue to keep our eyes on changing economic indicators, our plan for this year is sound. We are increasing efficiencies, monitoring our costs, and pursuing markets that have proven to be profitable for us," said Ed Bernice, CFO of WorkForce Software.

In 2008, WorkForce also made a significant investment in marketing automation, which helps the company identify and communicate with more prospective customers than in previous years. "Our marketing efforts are focused on efficiently uncovering a growing number of well defined opportunities," said Bob Gallagher, vice president of marketing for WorkForce Software. "We are seeing improved productivity and dramatic year over year increase in opportunities."

Another important milestone for WorkForce in 2008 was the development of its EmpCenter Fatigue Management solution, which has been chosen by more than 50-percent of the nuclear power companies in America. The solution manages compliance with new United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission's (NRC) requirements that were created to provide reasonable assurance of industrial and nuclear safety by managing the "fitness for duty" of employees.

The Fatigue Management (http://www. workforcesoftware. com/solutions/utilities. html) solution leverages EmpCenter's sophisticated rules engine, so it is able to manage complex NRC requirements without custom programming. Companion modules to Fatigue Management include EmpCenter Time and Attendance, which manages complex pay rules, leave accruals, and other attendance policies; and EmpCenter Advanced Scheduler, which helps managers create optimized employee schedules, and fill vacant positions that result from unplanned absences.

Many organizations turn to cost savings in a down economy, and WorkForce Software's EmpCenter applications significantly cut labor costs by automating the thousands of interactions between employees and employers. A 2008 Nucleus Research study found that one WorkForce Software customer, Ohio University (https://www. vtrenz. net/imaeds/ownerassets/961/Nucleus_ROI_OU. pdf), used EmpCenter to save $2.9 million annually. The study also found that Ohio University's payback on the investment was only three months, which demonstrates the value of the EmpCenter workforce management solution.

Next Generation Daycare Opens in Glastonbury

Next Generation Daycare Opens in Glastonbury

Recently opened in Glastonbury, CT, Klub Kid is the first center in the area to provide secure live daycare cameras to parents. Prospective parents can tour the facility at http://www. klubkidinc. com.

Glastonbury, CT (PRWEB) March 11, 2005

Recently opened in Glastonbury, Connecticut, Klub Kid Childcare and Enrichment center is equipped with the latest in secure, digital streaming technology that allows parents to view live video of their children through a secure area of their website at http://www. klubkidinc. com (http://www. klubkidinc. com).

Karen Yorski, Klub KidÂ’s Co-Owner and Director, said they selected KidsVisionÂ’s technology early on in the planning phases of the daycare center. "We looked into several options including standard webcams and other systems. But, other alternatives just didnÂ’t provide the same level of quality and security that we were trying to achieve. Our goals included a state of the art facility with a home like environmentÂ…..where parents feel welcome to visit the center at any time. The KidsVision camera service is really an extension of this idea."

Although Klub Kid is the first center in the area to provide the live video service to parents, Karen believes that it will soon become the standard for most child care providers. "Parents expect more than just the standard daycareÂ’s babysitting service; they want higher quality education in an environment where the safety and security of their children can be entrusted. The KidsVision service allows parents to see their kids interacting, playing, and learning. Our parents really love it!"

Once enrolled at Klub Kid, parents select a unique username/password to login to the secure area of the website where they can watch their children online. There are no additional fees to use the service, and parents receive technical assistance by calling 1.888.Kids. Vsn (888.543.7876) or chatting online with a KidsVision support representative at http://www. kidsvision. com (http://www. kidsvision. com).

Keven DeYoung, a parent who considers Klub Kid her childrenÂ’s second family adds, "My comment about the cameras is one word: AWESOME. As a parent, it is difficult to stop by and grab lunch on a given day to be with a child. The cameras allow me to see a bird's eye view of what does go on within the four walls of daycare. I love seeing when Patrick and James are playing together along with the many other friends we've met over the years, building blocks, towers and whatever else. Cameras are an added feature to ease parents minds having to leave them at a school. Bottom line, the cameras are terrific!"

Joe Payne, KidsVision spokesperson, emphasized, "ItÂ’s important to understand the difference between the KidsVision streaming service and other so called web cameras. Most important is that the video is 128 bit digitally encrypted. The encryption is necessary in order to ensure only authorized user access to the system. Second, standard webcams cannot provide the same level of quality that KidsVision clients and parents have come to expect."

Walking through the new center, itÂ’s easy to recognize the amount of planning and thought that went into its design. Brightly-colored walls and pictures are colorfully decorated to stimulate children's minds. The rooms consists of science, computer, and play areas for each age group.

Klub Kid Childcare and Enrichment Center is currently accepting toddlers, in addition to their Preschool and After School Care Programs. You can contact Klub Kid for enrollment information by calling 860-633-7772 or by visiting their website at http://www. klubkidinc. com (http://www. klubkidinc. com). They currently have immediate openings available in all age groups. There will be an open house at the center located at 286 Naubuc Avenue on Saturday, March 19 from 12:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Refreshments and fun activities will be available.

7-Year Old Twins Launch “Art Hearts” Project

7-Year Old Twins Launch “Art Hearts” Project

First goal is to collect 10,000 hearts and raise $10,000 for Haitian children

Lunenburg, MA (PRWEB) February 10, 2010

Twin 7-year old girls, Kate and Emma Marinchev recently launched The Art Hearts Project. The goal of the project is to use art to help children and people who are in disaster and disadvantaged situations. The children of Haiti will be the first recipients of The Art Hearts Project. The pair are asking children and adults to create art hearts using any type of art tool, and to then send the completed artwork to them for distribution to children in Haiti. The Art Hearts Project goal is to send 10,000 hearts and $10,000 to Haiti.

There are a few different ways individuals and groups can participate:

1) Make an Art Heart using art supplies, paper (or other type of base) and your creativity.

2) Make a Donation and an Art Heart. For $2.00, a heart template can be downloaded from the Art Hearts website and then a heart can be designed using whatever art tools are chosen. All of the proceeds will be donated to the children of Haiti.

3) Purchase imprinted Art Heart t-shirts. 25% of the proceeds from each purchase will benefit Haitian children.

Completed hearts can be mailed to: Art Hearts for Haiti, c/o Let's Gogh Art, P. O. Box 664, Lunenburg, MA 01462. There is no deadline for participation. Along with the help of family and their sponsor, Let’s Gogh Art (http://www. letsgoghart. com (http://www. letsgoghart. com/art-hearts. html)), the girls will be working with a Haitian relief organization and/or Haitian orphanages to distribute the hearts and monies collected in Haiti.

The duo is also looking for a corporate sponsor who will imprint some of the heart designs they receive onto products that the Haitian children desperately need, such as water bottles, pillows and clothing.

“Let's Gogh Art is proud to be sponsoring this amazing project, and hope that through our many friends and customers, we can spread the word quickly, and help Kate and Emma collect thousands of art hearts and lots of money too. I love that the heart was chosen to frame the art…it has meaning on so many different levels, namely that art has an amazing power to heal. Throughout human history people have used art to connect with their souls and to heal a sense of loss, grief, isolation, broken hearts, loneliness, fear, despair and pain. We look forward to helping these girls collect donations and create some smiles through donated artwork in Haiti,” commented Let’s Gogh Art founder, Lynn Toomey.

About Kate and Emma
Twin 7-year old girls, Kate and Emma Marinchev were watching in frightened fascination the recent telethon, Hope for Haiti Now, along with their parents. After seeing orphaned children and the other atrocities, the girls gathered money from their piggy banks and purses and asked their mom to text a donation. They then began drawing pictures of smiles and hearts, and asked if they could be mailed to some of the orphans in Haiti. Inspired by what they created, Kate and Emma's mother challenged the girls to come up with a way that more art could be created by more children like them, and shared with those suffering in Haiti. She continued to explain that money wasn't the only way they could help. After more drawing and brainstorming, Art Hearts took form. The heart shape was chosen for all the appropriate meanings it has. The first recipients of the Art Hearts project will be children in Haiti. In the future, the pair will help other children in disaster and disadvantaged situations. For more information about Art Hearts, visit: letsgoghart. com/art-hearts. html (http://www. letsgoghart. com/art-hearts. html)

Diverse Scholarship Providers Featured in Online College Guidance Solution Range from David Letterman and Vegetarian Resource Group to Moody’s and CoffeeforLess. com

With millions of students and parents currently in the midst of navigating the financial aid maze, including completing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form, they also now find themselves in search of as many scholarship dollars as they can find to offset the skyrocketing costs of college. Door To Door Storage Partners with The Salvation Army for 2008 Angel Tree Program

Door To Door Storage Partners with The Salvation Army for 2008 Angel Tree Program

Storage Industry Pioneer Provides Support for Holiday Gift Collection Efforts to Benefit Families with Children

Seattle, WA (PRWEB) November 21, 2008

Door To Door Storage, Inc., a leading national provider of portable self-storage containers (http://www. doortodoor. com/storage/default. aspx? ac=PR-20081121&utm_source=prweb&utm_medium=press-release&utm_campaign=2008-11-21) and moving services (http://www. doortodoor. com/moving/default. aspx? ac=PR-20081121&utm_source=prweb&utm_medium=press-release&utm_campaign=2008-11-21), announced its participation in the 2008 Angel Tree Program with the Salvation Army of Austin, Texas. The program is part of the Salvation Army's mission to alleviate suffering and provide hope to families with children in the community.

Door To Door Storage of Austin has donated five on-site portable self-storage containers (http://www. doortodoor. com/storage/default. aspx? ac=PR-20081121&utm_source=prweb&utm_medium=press-release&utm_campaign=2008-11-21) including all rental and transportation fees to the Salvation Army for use in its 2008 Angel Tree Program. The Salvation Army identifies families in need and each Angel Tree family is interviewed by a Salvation Army representative or by a participating local agency representative. Children, ages 12 and younger, from qualifying families become Angels. Participants then select an "Angel" from the Tree and purchase a gift that can be taken to the Salvation Army Christmas Store and deposited in the storage containers donated by Door To Door. The storage units will remain on site at the store until after the holidays.

"Door To Door Storage not only understood our desire to provide Christmas assistance to many who are less fortunate, they also understood the need for prompt service, special attention to detail, and adequate storage space," said Major John Carter, Austin Metropolitan Area Command, The Salvation Army. "Throughout this entire effort, their ability to comprehend the scope of services was very much appreciated and valuable to our seasonal operation. We of the Salvation Army want to thank them in a big way."

The Angel Tree Program is one component of the Salvation Army's goal to make a difference in the lives of others. With the help of donations from supporters and through programs such as the Angel Tree, lives will continue to be uplifted, encouraged and changed for the good.

"Door To Door is honored to be a part of this effort to help families and children in the Austin community," said Annette Jacobs, president and CEO, Door To Door Storage. "Particularly at this time of year and with the economic challenges facing many, this is a meaningful effort for our company to participate in."

With the help of community sponsors, last year 7,933 children received new toys and clothing during the holiday season because of the Angel Tree program. Top Las Vegas real estate team introduce FREE investment coaching

Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) March 18, 2006

For the ultra-competitive world of Las Vegas Real Estate Agents (http://www. totalrealestatesuccess. com), it is time to sit up and take notice. Tom and Karen Carter, founders of the hugely successful www. TotalRealEstateSuccess. com are shaking up the traditional conventions in the lucrative world of real estate investment advice.

For some time now, the Carters and their experienced team of realtors have been teaching, coaching and protecting those who are looking to become serious investors in the Las Vegas real estate market (http://www. totalrealestatesuccess. com), one of the hottest markets on the planet. You may think that such a service is offered by thousands of other professionals and you would be right; the radical difference is that Tom and Karen Carter are offering their investment advice services for free.

As Tom Carter explained, “We just could not let the ‘get rich in real estate’ seminar circus keep taking people’s money when all that most of us need is somebody to help put together all the right specialists who will protect your money and help you find profitable real estate deals in which to invest”

With so many so-called ‘educational seminars’ and three day conferences costing anything from $5000-$20,000 per delegate, Tom and Karen Carter appreciate that busy professionals often have neither the time nor the money for expensive sales pitches and ineffectual advice. Innovation was needed and The Carter Team was ready and willing to deliver.

Out of this realization, a new idea was born. The Carter Team has recently introduced a website to assist and advise serious investors as well as encourage them to realize their investment dreams. Part of their commitment is to advise people as to the right time to invest, whether it is now or some time in the future. In the world of Las Vegas real estate (http://www. totalrealestatesuccess. com), investment timing can be everything. The Carter team believes that professionalism is all about ensuring investors make the right choice at the right time which is exactly what they offer as advice to each and every client. This program, which is available to anyone around the world, is hugely popular and in ever increasing demand. www. TotalRealEstateSuccess. com is currently being used to register interested parties for the FREE services and deal with the barrage of inquiries which are flooding in.

Don't Lose Your House While Starting Your Company

Don't Lose Your House While Starting Your Company

Incorporate online to protect your assets. Individuals incorporate their business because of its many inherent benefits. For example, if a business fails, incorporation protects an individual against the need to sell off his personal assets.

New York, NY (PRWEB) March 29, 2005

If you tell a new business owner that they could loose their house over their new "widget" they stare back in horror. This is one extreme example of the importance of incorporating your company online to protect your assets -

Http://www. incorporating-online. org (http://www. incorporating-online. org)

Forming a corporation or a limited liability company is called Incorporating. Getting registered as a corporation can also be an online process where you have to select a state of filling and the type of entity that could be non-profit, profit or a professional corporation. Individuals incorporate their business because of its many inherent benefits. For example, if a business fails, incorporation protects an individual against the need to sell off his personal assets. In case of sole proprietorship or partnership the personal belongings of an individual become liable for paying off the companyÂ’s debts.

Incorporation also has added advantages like tax saving over partnership or sole proprietorshipÂ’s business. Various schemes like pension, medical, ownership of stock in other corporations, disability insurance premiums, stock ownership plans also help in bringing down the tax liability.

Types Of Incorporation

Corporation

Small and big corporations generally use a business corporation. This has the advantage of minimum restrictions, unlimited stockholders and an assurance of protection for individual property. Under this the liability of a stockholder is limited to the amount of investment in a business.

Limited Liability Company (LLC)

Limited Liability Companies has a separate entity from its members. MemberÂ’s rights, duties and obligations are governed by an operating agreement. The agreement is particularly important in deciding how the company and its members will be taxed for federal income tax purposes, management policy, terminating the LLC and transfer of interests. Under this agreement all the members have limited liability provision and enjoy full security of their personal assets.

Non-Profit Corporation

Businesses that undertake varied activities with an aim to do good for the society should be registered as non-profit incorporations. The income earned from the business is used for charitable, religious, educational or scientific activities. The motive of the business is not to make profit. Income generated by most of these organizations is exempted from income tax.

S Corporation

It is taxed under Subchapter S of the Internal Revenue Code. IRS approval is required for Subchapter S status. All earnings or losses are passed directly to the personal income tax return thus avoiding the case for double taxation.

(PRWEB) July 28, 2005

Lorna Bracewell will host "Lorna Bracewell and Friends," a concert which will benefit CASA of St. Petersburg, at 7 PM on Saturday, August 20, 2005, at Pro Star Recording Studio in St. Petersburg.

Lorna Bracewell, a 21-year old Tampa Bay area native, has been making her mark in the independent music circuit with her "tough and taut" guitar playing, her "powerful and poignant" songs, and her "easy smile and quirky sense of humor." Lorna's latest release, God Forbid, is described by Heat Beat Magazine as "an aggressive, defiant, acoustic romp."

Lorna will be joined by two other outstanding performers, singer/songwriter Adrianne from Venice Beach, California, and studio guitarist extraordinaire Sal DiTroia. Adrianne is a Berklee graduate and winner of the 1999 USA Songwriting Competition overall Grand Prize for best song and lyrics. Her songs remind listeners that pop can still be edgy and relevant.

Sal DiTroia's discography is about as big as some radio stations' record collections. Sal embodies what can happen when passion meets experience, as he brings to Lorna's music the same melodic fervor he brought to Paul Simon's "The Boxer" and Janis Ian's "At Seventeen."

The concert will benefit CASA (Community Action Stops Abuse). CASA's mission is to advocate for social change by providing community education, outreach support, crisis intervention, and safe environments for survivors of domestic violence and their children. For more information on CASA, see www. casa-stpete. org.

Five dollars of every ticket sold will be donated directly to CASA, and each ticket includes one entry to win a beautiful Luna Moth guitar. Additional raffle entries may be purchased for five dollars, which will also be donated directly to CASA.

WhatÂ’s in your Pocket?

WhatÂ’s in your Pocket?

Riverside, California. October 31, 2003 – New Year’s Resolution setters may be in for an extra boost of success this year.

(PRWEB) November 2, 2003

Each year, “25% of New Year’s Resolutions will be abandoned in the first 15 weeks,” states Polivy and Herman, in a recent article for American Psychologist.

“Most people enjoy setting New Year’s Resolutions, but their mistake lies in failure to commit to them in writing,” states Brian Meert, President of PocketGoals. com. However, an experience with PocketGoals will change the way individuals achieve their New Year’s Resolutions forever,” says Meert. “Once people see how easily and conveniently PocketGoals work, they’ll be amazed at how simple it is to accomplish their goals.”

The PocketGoals Company introduced its revolutionary solution to help individuals achieve New Year’s Resolutions. A “PocketGoal” is the size of a credit card and contains a personalized area where customers type in up to seven of their current goals or resolutions. Next to each goal is a small scratch off area covering a green checkmark. This allows individuals to uncover the checkmark as they complete their goals.

Statistically, the most common New YearÂ’s Resolutions are directed towards areas such as exercise, weight loss, education, quitting a bad habit, finances, and career advancement. PocketGoals directly targets these areas by offering benefits that include small size, convenience, ease of use, and privacy of goals.

After the national release of their product, The PocketGoal Company plans to begin working towards their goal – to positively affect the lives of 1 million Americans by December 31, 2006. PocketGoals is currently accomplishing this through workshops, seminars, and their “Make a Difference” program, which donates a portion of each purchase to a charity selected by the customer.

So what advice does a goal setting company offer for 2004? The PocketGoals Company suggests four dynamic tips that are sure to bring success in the New Year.

1 – Write down your goals.

People who drive without a map or sail without a compass usually become either frustrated or lost. Writing down goals gives you a finish line for your accomplishments.

2 – Plan for Action.

Robin Hood may have seen his target, but he didnÂ’t become a legend until he shot the arrow. Once you know where you are headed, develop a plan and take action.

3 – Believe in Yourself.

If you knew you couldnÂ’t fail, how would that affect the way you lived? Officially, youÂ’re not a failure until the day you give up. So go for it!

4 – Don’t Give Up.

A study by the University of Washington discovered that, “Of all the people who achieved their goals, only 40% did so on the first attempt.” Translation – Keep trying!

The Texas Wine School Partners with Nos Caves Vin in Houston to Offer the French Wine Scholar Certification

The Texas Wine School is a new and independent learning center for all things wine. It is the only school in Texas to be offering this prestigious program from the French Wine Society.

Houston, TX (PRWEB) September 7, 2010

The French Wine Scholar study is designed to test for proficiency in the wines and wine regions of France. It is endorsed by the National French Wine Office and U. S. Importers of French Wine.

Classes take place over a 7 week period and include a seminar on the 8 major grape varietals. Each student receives a French Wine Scholar Manual; a 250-page, full-color study manual. The course was developed by the French Wine Society, an organization dedicated to the promotion of French wine through French wine education in North America. It was vetted by the French National Wine Office and is up to date and comprehensive in its coverage of each wine region’s history, climate, geology, soils, viticulture, viniculture and wine law.

James King started the Texas Wine School after moving to Houston in 2010. His experience in wine and wine education includes setting up the Wine & Spirit Education Trust program at the Wine House in LA in 2007, and conducting training seminars throughout North America for the North American West Coast Burgundy Wine Board’s (B. I.V. B.) Tastings in February 2010.

Robert Kacher, of Robert Kacher Selections, has said of the French Wine Certification Program: "Education is sales. I fully embrace this program. It is significant in its depth and breadth. I have been involved in French wines for a long time and am delighted to see such an educational initiative finally materialize. It is long over-due."

"I chose Nos Caves to host my certification classes because its provides a quiet, private location that is focused on enjoying and sharing wine. Their private room is unlike any other meeting room that I visited in Houston and the whole building is about wine,” said James King.

Nos Caves Vin, in the Rice Village area of Houston, is Houstons' premier wine storage facility. Its members can store their wine collections in a highly secure, climate controlled wine area and have access to the private lounge, formal and informal wine tastings and many other member only benefits. "We are proud to work with James on his classes. His knowledge of wine is exceptional and his approach and attitude fits perfectly with ours – wine should be shared and enjoyed with conversation, not just analyzed and discussed in terms of ratings and cost, " said Brent Sloan, Wine Director at Nos Caves Vin.

Student Loan Consolidation Rates Decrease Slightly, But Fixed Rates May Not be Available in the Future

Student Loan Consolidation Rates Decrease Slightly, But Fixed Rates May Not be Available in the Future

With no credit checks, fees, or early payment penalties, there's absolutely no reason for graduates not to consolidate their loans. However, graduates need to act now. If the law changes late this year or next year, and graduates have not completed their consolidation, they may not be able to lock in fixed rates any longer.

Quincy, MA (PRWEB) May 27, 2004

With the conclusion of the final May 91-day Treasury Bill sale, student loan rates for the coming academic year (July 1, 2004 - June 30, 2005) have been set. College graduates currently in their six-month post-graduation grace periods will not see a difference in consolidation rates, nor will parents with PLUS loans; for those graduates making payments, the new consolidation rate drops from 3.5% to 3.375% effective July 1. For a student with $50,000 in loans, this will result in a savings of approximately $785 over the life of the loan.

There is a dark side to the new lower rates, however. Government subsidies of consolidated student loans will continue to increase for another year, which will doubtlessly prompt lawmakers to accelerate planned changes to the consolidation program. A petition by Rep. John Boucher (R-Ohio) seeks to eliminate the fixed rates of student loan consolidation entirely, making repayment of consolidated student loans more onerous when interest rates climb back up.

Joe Cronin, director of StudentLoanConsolidator. com, recommends that students file consolidation applications immediately to ensure that they are locked in before Congress has a chance to change the loan program. Reputable consolidation companies will offer students the opportunity to have their applications held until July 1, when the lower rates take effect.

"With no credit checks, fees, or early payment penalties, there's absolutely no reason for graduates not to consolidate their loans. However, graduates need to act now," urges Cronin, "If the law changes late this year or next year, and graduates have not completed their consolidation, they may not be able to lock in fixed rates any longer."

Students wishing to file a consolidation application should do so at http://www. StudentLoanConsolidator. com (http://www. StudentLoanConsolidator. com) immediately. To learn more about the rate changes, graduates can visit http://www. StudentLoanConsolidator. com/consolidation/new_rates. shtml (http://www.
