Winter Park, FL (PRWEB) January 28, 2010

(http://www. youtube. com/watch? v=BcBRVOo2YV0)

The attempt took place on January 12, 2010 on the Full Sail University campus, and featured the Full Sail University logo and a message which read, “Full Sail University Wishes You a Happy New Year.” The requirements to set the world record were extensive, and included needing over 500 people, each holding their own individual flashlight, for a total of five minutes to form the logo and image. The attempt was completed with a total of 528 people comprising the logo/image, as well as nearly 200 additional people who came out to support this effort. The world record attempt was documented by a film and photography crew who captured the event by helicopter.

The flashlights purchased and used in the attempt were collected at the conclusion of the event and both flashlights and new batteries were donated to the local Central Florida organization, Harvest Time International (http://www. harvest-time. org (http://www. harvest-time. org)) for the benefit of earthquake relief efforts in Haiti.

“Full Sail University is built on the foundation of real world experience,” said Kristin Weissman, Director of Public Relations, Full Sail University. “Setting this Guinness World Record (TM) was a unique way to not only garner the Full Sail University community spirit, but also to showcase an example of creative viral marketing and brand recognition while engaging current and future students.”

New online program gives students a flexible, affordable option for Certified Surgical Technologist exam preparation

Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) May 2, 2010

Archipelago Learning (NASDAQ:ARCL), a leading web-based provider of subscription-based online education products that provide instruction, practice, assessments and productivity tools that improve the performance of students via proprietary web-based platforms, today announced a new product, Certified Surgical Technologist Exam Review, within their popular Northstar Learning adult education series, an online program that provides students and academic programs with a flexible, affordable, and effective option for certification exam preparation. The Northstar Learning products are used to prepare students for success on the GED Tests, certification and licensing exams for health professions, college courses, and in other academic areas.

While traditional Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) exam review programs tend to be expensive and require students to modify their schedules around set evening or weekend classes, the Northstar Learning Certified Surgical Technologist Exam Review allows students to build a study plan that is completely flexible to their particular needs, at a fraction of the cost. Northstar Learning's web-based platform makes the program accessible anytime, anywhere an Internet connection is available, and unlike typical online practice and test-prep programs, skills are broken up into individual topics.

Designed to help students prepare for the Certified Surgical Technologist Exam administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting, the program emphasizes peri-operative care, additional surgical technologist duties, and basic science knowledge.

"Our online program gives students confidence as they practice questions like those they will see on the exam," said Jennifer Grant, Northstar Learning Managing Editor. "A certification in the Surgical Technologist profession is preferred by many employers, and we are happy to help health professionals earn certification and advance in their careers."

Designed with dynamic content, built-in instruction, real-time reporting, engaging content, and an interactive game mode, the Northstar Learning Certified Surgical Technologist exam review joins Northstar Learning's existing library of programs for certification and licensing exams for students in health professions, which include: Medical Assisting, Dental Assisting, Vocational Nursing, Pharmacy Technician, Radiography Technician, and many others.

Muslim Students Say U. S. Media is to Blame for Misconceptions about Islam

Muslim Students Say U. S. Media is to Blame for Misconceptions about Islam

A survey conducted by the Glimpse Foundation of 130 Muslims studying in the United States--both American - and foreign-born--reveals very positive impressions of the general American public, but marked frustration toward the U. S. media for its distorted and one-dimensional portrayals of Muslims.

Providence, RI (PRWEB) November 20, 2006

Most Americans associate Islam with violence and hatred of the West, but a recent survey of 130 young Muslim adults studying in the United States--both American - and foreign-born--paints a very different picture. For example, although 87% of respondents believe that Americans do not understand Islam and 63% believe that Americans are prejudiced against Muslims, an overwhelming 80% have a "generally favorable view of Americans." Seventy-two percent believe that Islamic values are compatible with Western values.

When it comes to Western misconceptions of Islam, the vast majority of respondents blame the "distorted media," which according to an Indonesian-born student at University of Kansas "likes to jumble everything under one umbrella. Something that is not necessarily taught by Islam could be acted out by its followers."

Also at fault are the U. S. education system, which according to an American Muslim from John Hopkins University, doesn't "put enough emphasis on teaching about the values of 20 percent of the world population," as well as Muslims themselves, some of whom "misinform by being poor representatives of their religion and its values," says Pakistani-born Fahad Zahedi, a student at University of Texas at Arlington.

Respondents insist that if we succeed in bridging this gap in understanding, non-Muslim Americans will discover that they have more in common with Muslims than they think. Says Pakistani-born Abdur-Rahman Syed from Boston University, "Islamic values appeal to many of our basic moral intuitions about human dignity, equality and accountability. It isn't surprising that there is considerable overlap between Western and Islamic values."

Respondents generally agree on the most widely held Western misconceptions about Islam, including the misconceptions that Muslim women are oppressed, Islam is an inherently violent religion that condones terrorism, Islam is intolerant of other religions and "jihad" is synonymous with "Holy War."

Full survey results are featured in Glimpse Quarterly's special year-end issue (http://glimpseabroad. org/subscribe. php), to be released this week, which focuses on Islamic practices around the world. The survey was conducted by Glimpse Quarterly's 501(c)3 parent organization, The Glimpse Foundation (http://www. glimpsefoundation. org), which fosters cross-cultural understanding and exchange, particularly between the United States and the rest of the world, by providing forums for young adults to share their experiences living abroad. Click here for a PDF of the survey results (http://glimpsefoundation. org/downloads/Spectrum-Winter2006.pdf) as they appear in Glimpse Quarterly.

Tommy Ates Online©: Northern Blacks On The Move: Will Politics Follow?

Tommy Ates Online©: Northern Blacks On The Move: Will Politics Follow?

Who would have thought African-Americans would return home in such large numbers for comfort, rest, and renewed hope? Perhaps the South is rising again, with a more mellowed face, just wanting the future to be different than the past. Oh, there is one thing people shouldn’t forget either: the battle for life, liberty, and the pursuit of equality isn’t over. In fact, it may be just beginning. Alas, use of the “Dixie Code.”

(PRWEB) November 19, 2003

November 17 2003--You can see it the metropolitan sophistication of Atlanta to the seaside resorts of Hilton Head, South Carolina. More than 680,000 blacks moved to the South between 1995 and 2000, according the U. S. Census Bureau. African-Americans now hold more than 5,500 elected positions south of the Mason-Dixon Line. There are now black mayors in Houston, New Orleans, Atlanta, and Birmingham. You don’t have to worry about getting harassed (overtly) in northerner-viewed “dreaded” Mississippi, but you do have to wonder that your money might be taken for a ride in a Biloxi casino.

Oh, there is one thing people shouldnÂ’t forget either: the battle for life, liberty, and the pursuit of equality isnÂ’t over. In fact, it may be just beginning.

The politics of welfare-reform and prescription drug coverage has never been a more pressing issue than in the southern states of Texas, Georgia, and “post-South” Florida, places where in the massive population boom, thousands of retirees have moved for warmer climates, only the find their prescription drug benefits decreasing in coverage both the government and their employer-based insurance plans. In the meantime, more high-tech and distribution businesses are finding the South to be an easier conduit in which to do business, as many states (formally Aquarian) have fewer business taxes and code restrictions.

But all these attractive qualities may be ruined if the Republican Party in Southern states continues with a de-facto policy of “race-baiting.”

Yes, the secret is out and open. State Democratic stalwarts and liberal activists are not exaggerating these claims. They are real and open in the public eye. One only has to look at the Trent Lott controversy or the continued South Carolina scandal of the Confederate Flag to see the in’s and out’s of “hoodwink” politics.

After fall of the Jim Crow era in the early 1970s, the Democratic Party in the South was in the tent of liberal to conservative blacks and whites, including many white segregationists. The Republican parties in those states saw an opening for their agenda of economic independence against the “welfare state” (meaning blacks) and equal-opportunity laws which tried to correct some of the imbalance between the different racial communities. Many times they failed; however in the 1990s, with the rise of Congressman Newt Gingrich and his schema of the rule of the upper middle-class, the many of children of old-time southern white Democrats crossed over to the Republican side, believing the Democratic Party to be filled with the minorities and racial apologists, for whom they saw little in common. By 1994 and the Gingrich Republican revolution in Congress, the conversion of white South Democrats was all but complete.

Nowadays, to be white and a Democrat in the South seems almost like an oxymoron. The veiled political theology spilled (most recently by the Mississippi Governor’s race) is that to be Republican, at its worst, keeps the black power (perhaps vengeful) at bay and preserves the quality of life, built by true Southerners (meaning white men). Alas, use of the “Dixie Code.” Of course, these same politicians forget that slave labor that produced many of the intrinsic qualities of ‘Southern infrastructure’ to begin with.

WhatÂ’s left of the Democratic Party is these states are finally trying to regroup and fight for an economic agenda that appeal to both whites and blacks. Focusing on social programs in education and home ownership is just start of what southern Democrats can do to win over Reagan and Bush Republicans suffering in this long recession. Increased Medicare for seniors is another issue that most be tacked to convince old-time Democrats that they should return to the large, broad tent of ideas which Republicans increasing do not stand for.

All that being said, this reasoning should not discourage African-Americans from voting their conscience (whether it is Democratic or Republican) in the new South. Minorities can only insure equal treatment if they are accepted and excel in every part of society, not just as a token or quota. Equality in Southern states can happen if the political landscape lends itself to political organizing in rural areas where more of the traditional voting base still lives.

There are many reasons why blacks are returning to the South in large numbers and it’s not just about relatives, weather, or jobs. It’s just about being happy at home. Perhaps, a place one should have never left. Maybe people are moving to “a town called Hope?”

NEW YORK (PRWEB) October 20, 2005

Artists from three separate but vitally interconnected communities will participate for the first time in a one-of-a-kind art show that opens Nov. 9, 2005, in Ramallah, Palestine; Tel Aviv, Israel; and New York City. S., painters Nancy Spero and the late Leon Golub and cartoonist Seth Tobocman; from Palestine, the painter-sculptors Tayseer Barakat and Suliman Mansour; and from Israel, video artist Galit Eilat, director of the Israeli Center for Digital Art, and the late cartoonist Dudu Geva. Each artist will be represented by work in all three locations.

Why and how did Three Cities Against the Wall come about?

Two years of contacts and networking between artists and activists in all three cities created this show. Its purpose is fourfold: To united our voices in demonstrating our opposition to the Separation Wall; to better inform people about the true nature of the catastrophic situation created by the Wall; to demonstrate that within the Israeli and American publics there is opposition to the Wall; and to lay the foundation for a community of artists across borders.

When?

Three Cities Against the Wall will open in Ramallah, Tel Aviv, and New York on Thursday, November 9, 2005, and run for one month in all three locations.

Where?

In Ramallah, at Gallery Barakat; in Tel Aviv, at a location to be announced shortly; and in New York, at the art center ABC No Rio.

Will a catalog be available?

A full-color catalog, produced collaboratively by artists and designers in all three cities, will be available upon the opening of Three Cities Against the Wall. It will include essays by well-known Palestinian, Israeli, and American writers about the origins of the show, about the Wall and its impact, and about the role of the U. S. in creating and sustaining the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

A full-color catalog of Three Cities Against the Wall, including essays by writers, critics, and activists from all three communities, is to be be published by Vox Pop Press in November. OUR VISION: A WORLD WITHOUT BORDERS

In the process of creating Three Cities Against the Wall, the organizers and participating artists are building networks and creating relationships between their respective communities to oppose both Israel's oppression of the Palestinian people and the Wall as a symbol of that oppression.

Yet while American, Palestinian, and Israeli artists are showing their work together in this exhibition, we understand that the relationship amongst them is not one of equality. The relationship between Palestinians and Israelis has been compared to that between prisoners and guards, with U. S. cittizens as the patrons of this prison. Americans finance Israel through their tax dollars; some also finance Israel through contributions to Zionist organizations. The Wall is horrifying because it casts these relationships in concrete, making Palestinian imprisonment more thorough and more permanent.

Ironically, there is also an opportunity created by the Wall: this physical barrier makes the oppression of Palestinians more visible. Artists can use the Wall as a metaphor to educate the public. We are working together because we understand that, by uniting our voices, we are more likely to be heard and will therefore be better able to inform the public of the true nature of this catastrophic situation. We also want to demonstrate that within the Israeli and the American public there is opposition to the Wall.

We are laying the foundation for building a community of artists across borders, and will demonstrate, through combined effort, our opposition to injustice and oppression on moral and ethical grounds, and because injustice and oppression engender a separation between peoples, preventing normal human communication between them.

We believe that the world of the future is a world without borders. We support the right of a Turk to work in Germany, of a Haitian to seek refuge in the United States, of a Croat to live peacefully in Serbia. Thus we also support the right of a Palestinian, a Jew, or anyone else to live in the city of their choice, to enjoy all the privileges of citizenship there, and to travel freely to and from their chosen place of residence. This is not a radical demand but a natural human expectation. The attempts of 20th century governments to control demographics through genocide, forced transfer and other coercive means have been a disaster and such policies must be discarded. It is tragic that at a time when governments in Europe are discussing the possibility of open borders, Israel is building a border of cement and steel. We oppose the Wall because it is a wall against the future.

(PRWEB) January 13, 2005

There is a growing disturbing trend in the online search engines, which according to Google's CFO George Reyes “threatens the business model”.

ItÂ’s called click fraud and it may set back online advertisers anywhere between $450M - $1.8 Billion.

Online businesses can now resort to expert support. With the launch of Clickfraud. com both the business community and the general public can receive factual information about click fraud in order to protect themselves and their businesses.

The launch of Clickfraud. com provides helpful insight as to what click fraud is all about, how it is manifested, and most importantly ways of prevention.

Click fraud is the act of illicit online activity, where an individual or organization passes “fake” clicks to online advertisers for profit, which also gives false representation of public interest to the advertiser. Providing education of click fraud gives a realistic perspective of the risks associated with online advertising. Whilst on the topic of CV's, Careers Seeker are proud to confirm their partnership with CV Centre to assist all candidate wanting an addition to the sites own advice sector (http://www. careers-seeker. co. uk/resources/good-cv-writing-tips. php).

Careers Seeker also felt that their service should be expanded to candidates and recruiters alike, so whilst they have teamed up with the very best for the candidates they have also teamed up with the best partners to assist recruiters, and are happy to announce their partnership with Info cubic (http://www. infocubic. net/) as a leading name in employment screening and Interview Creator (http://www. interviewcreator. com/trial_account. php) to assist employers in ensuring that they hold the very best interviews for potential employees.

In addition to the above the Seeker Network have been working very hard behind the scenes with their in-house SEO Company and in-house advertising team to ensure that their job advertisements are getting the correct exposure and coverage over the internet.

All the while we have not forgotten about Agency Seeker (http://www. agency-seeker. co. uk) which has grown far quicker than the Seeker Network could ever have imagined and has well over 500 separate recruiters on there, with a full profile and a virtual extension of recruiters own web site. This has generated massive traffic to all the agencies involving both candidates and employers (yes, people are still recruiting).

The Seeker Network have now finished phase two of their expansion plan, and whilst there is always work to be done, they are confident that they are now a market leading name in on line recruitment... and with their in house teams they intend to go from strength to strength to make sure you get the best value for your money.

Considering Plastic Surgery: New Plastic Surgeon Referral Service Has All the Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Resources Patients Need

Considering Plastic Surgery: New Plastic Surgeon Referral Service Has All the Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Resources Patients Need

Finding a local plastic surgeon or checking on a doctor's credentials and background is only a click or phone call away.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) February 24, 2008

Yellow Pages, surfing the web and word of mouth -- good resources do not always have the inside scoop. 1800mySurgeon. com, however, does.

1800mySurgeon. com is a new, free consumer service committed to facilitating a patient's decision to have cosmetic surgery. By visiting their comprehensive website (http://www.1800mysurgeon. com (http://www.1800mysurgeon. com)) or calling 1-800-My-Surgeon, patients can take the guesswork out of finding a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon they can trust.

The patient coordinators at 1800mySurgeon. com can help those interested in a cosmetic surgery procedure by referring them to the qualified plastic surgeons in their nationwide network. They can then provide relevant information about that plastic surgeon's board records, credentials, experiences and specialty areas.

Los Angeles plastic surgeon Dr. Vishal Kapoor M. D., who is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a 1800mySurgeon. com member, recognizes the benefits of the services 1800mySurgeon. com offers patients.

"Patients have been prepped by 1800mySurgeon. com staff, who have given them background on the doctor and reassurance that they are getting someone who is qualified and Board Certified," said Dr. Kapoor.

If a patient has conducted their own research to find a doctor, 1800mySurgeon. com can run a complete background search on that doctor and pull up information such as the doctor's education, training, certification and professional record. A full background check includes any disciplinary actions or cited malpractice judgments against a surgeon.

One should be careful when choosing a doctor to perform plastic surgery. Physicians can call themselves plastic surgeons just by taking a weekend course. 1800mySurgeon. com works with a network of prescreened Board Certified Plastic Surgeons, which means that the surgeons have gone through rigorous, extensive training and have a solid background in plastic surgery.

"When patients take it upon themselves to use the services of 1800mySurgeon. com, there is standard of care -- a standard that 1800mySurgeon. com likes to maintain," said Dr. Kapoor. "I think it makes the patients feel comfortable knowing that these doctors have met these standards and are seen in a good light by 1800mySurgeon. com."

The website offers informative patient resources such as articles, videos and real-life patient experiences, highlighting the importance of safety, surgery education and finding a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, which can be seen at (http://www.1800mysurgeon. com/articles-videos. cfm (http://www.1800mysurgeon. com/articles-videos. cfm)).

Along with professional organizations such as The American Board of Medical Specialties, The American Board of Plastic Surgery, The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and The American Society of Plastic Surgeons, 1800mySurgeon. com is dedicated to promote the importance of choosing plastic surgeons that are certified by the board.

As Job Search Gets Tough, Job Seekers Get Creative: College Grads Take to Job Search Outsourcing

With uncertain economic times ahead, a growing number of the nation's 1.5 million graduating college students face stiff competition for a shrinking number of jobs. Dallas, TX (PRWEB) November 19, 2008

With uncertain economic times ahead, a growing number of the nation's 1.5 million graduating college students face stiff competition for a shrinking number of jobs. Last week the bureau of labor reported that the US economy shed 159,000 non-farm jobs in September alone. One pioneering firm gives recent graduates a leg up in the hunt using a widespread business practice: outsourcing.

JobSerf (JobSerf. com) is an online career search firm that helps job seekers cover more ground with their resumes to develop new job leads. The company uses Internet job-search professionals in India to search and apply for jobs online on behalf of their clients. The JobSerf search team can cover far more ground more effectively than a single job seeker in a given week.

The service has won the praises of college graduates in particular, eager to utilize the timesaving service and gain an advantage in this competitive job market. From December 2007 to April 2008, JobSerf tested its services with recent graduates of Southern Methodist University in Dallas. All students in the test group received interviews and job offers from leads generated by JobSerf's efforts.

Del, an SMU business graduate, went on 15 interviews and received three job offers within a month of using JobSerf but decided to return to graduate school. Chelsea, a recent marketing graduate from SMU, received 35 call backs and a job offer from one of her target companies after the JobSerf team invested 200 hours over six weeks searching and applying on her behalf.

"Instead of applying to 2 or 3 jobs a day, they can apply to 20 or 30," said Chelsea. "You get your name out there in the job market much faster than you would on your own."

JobSerf works largely on the principles of task specialization. The online job marketplace is increasingly complicated, with more than 40,000 Internet job sites and millions of people posting their resumes to the web each year. Navigating this web of application systems, corporate sites, recruiting firms and job listing agencies can become a time-consuming headache. It takes a talented full-time professional to know all the angles.

"The JobSerf team can provide superior results as compared to an individual's efforts by leveraging the search expertise of the JobSerfs, their knowledge of the job boards and ability to share leads with their colleagues," says JobSerf Creator and Chairman Jay Martin.

This high-level, online job search assistance frees the job seeker to focus their time on practical real-world efforts. "Rather than spending countless hours scouring the Internet for job openings, our clients can be more productive by networking, preparing for interviews or working at their current jobs," says Martin.

JobSerf gets its client's resumes and cover letters in front of hiring managers using technology that permits the JobSerfs to send emails that appear to come from their client's personal address. JobSerf's involvement is completely invisible to the target company, allowing the candidate to follow-up on the lead with a fresh and impressive interview.

JobSerf, which began operations in the more promising economic conditions of 2006, believes its services are more valuable than ever in this increasingly scarce American job market. According to job placement experts, increasing your level of exposure can dramatically increase your chances of scoring an interview.

Given the value of an American job, JobSerf is cost effective, and the offshore model keeps it affordable to the average American. "For parents who have spent as much as $100,000 on their student's four-year college education, this is a small investment towards making that degree pay off," added Martin.

JobSerf starts new customers at 20 hours for $98, translating to $4.90 per hour in the first week. Afterwards, job seekers may continue with thorough coverage of the job market at 20 hours per week, or narrow their search to a more targeted eight hours per week for $49.

About JobSerf (www. jobserf. com)
JobSerf, Inc. is a privately held Texas-based corporation that is the pioneer in using non-U. S. talent to search and apply for jobs on behalf of clients. JobSerf was founded in February of 2004 by partners who collectively have more than 60 years of experience with some of the world's top firms. The company also has retained advisors from the human resources, outplacement, e-commerce and investment banking industries. New Company Aims to Boost Elementary Student's Interest in Science, Prepare for Future Careers

New Company Aims to Boost Elementary Student's Interest in Science, Prepare for Future Careers

Recent studies show American students scoring lower on science and math exams, and that teachers spend anywhere from two to no hours a week on science education, due to the national emphasis on No Child Left Behind. To fill the void, Mini Me Geology (www. MiniMeGeology. com) has created a unique blend of fun and learning for children by launching a one-stop geology education shop. Mini Me Geology is a website where children, parents and educators can come to learn not only about great rocks and minerals but also receive free information about the science of geology. The site offers rock and mineral samples from around the world and kits not available anywhere else, project ideas and curriculum for the class or home, "Ask a Geologist", an interactive site with games and puzzles to encourage learning, Rockland Gazette newsletter, and more.

Mt. Pleasant, SC (PRWEB) June 26, 2008

Recent studies not only show American students scoring lower on science and math exams, but that teachers spend anywhere from two to no hours a week on science education, due to the national emphasis on No Child Left Behind. To fill the void, Mini Me Geology (www. MiniMeGeology. com) has created a unique blend of fun and learning for children by launching a one-stop geology education shop for parents, children and educators.

It all started when Tracy Barnhart and her husband were asked to discuss their careers at their son's kindergarten class. Her husband works in radio broadcasting and she, at the time, used her expertise in geology at an environmental consulting firm. She quickly considered that the young children would probably not understand what she did at her firm, so she gathered up a variety of rocks, minerals and some gemstones to teach them about rocks and what a geologist is. The children were thrilled and she allowed them to take the rock samples home.

"After the experience, I began to think about the children's reactions and the fact that there isn't much taught about geology in early elementary school - the age when children are typically really interested in rocks and minerals," said Barnhart Founder/Owner of Mini Me Geology. "In first grade my son completed only a brief study on rocks but it included very little information. After that he really didn't have any study on the subject at all and science is part of our everyday lives." It gave Barnhart an idea.

In 2006, Barnhart cut back her hours at the environmental firm and started Mini Me Geology (www. minimegeology. com). She realized that her mission as a professional geologist was to show kids and adults the wonders of Earth.

Mini Me Geology is a site where children, parents and educators can come to learn not only about great rocks and minerals but also receive free information about the science of geology. The site offers rock and mineral samples from around the world and kits not available anywhere else, project ideas and curriculum for the class or home, "Ask a Geologist", an interactive site with games and puzzles to encourage learning, Rockland Gazette newsletter, and more.

"Most of our requests come from children looking for rocks and minerals that can't readily be found in their area. It's nice to know that we are contributing to their education by making these available to people across the country."

Since starting the business, Barnhart has received considerably positive feedback from parents, including those that home school, and educators about Mini Me Geology emphasizing that she offers more than just a box of rocks, but a real opportunity for children to interact, experience and learn.

"Our site is specifically designed for kids because there are so many neat things about rocks and minerals that young kids can understand without gimmicks and without being bored," says Barnhart. "But we also provide specific information and affordable products for educators to create excitement in the classroom."

About Mini Me Geology
Mini Me Geology is a division of Giverny, Inc. The company's owner, Tracy Barnhart, has been a geologist for more than 16 years. The company, inspired by her two children and their friends, provides a unique blend of high-quality products with free educational information, uniquely combining rocks, minerals from around the world and other geology related toys with free educational information, free puzzles and free access to the site's personal geologist. Mini Me Geology is the new destination for kids and parents looking for quality science toys, education and fun, easy-to-understand information.

Mini Me Geology offers "My Rockin' Collections", rock kit storage bags, minerals, igneous rocks, metamorphic rocks and sedimentary rocks, and individual rock and mineral samples, are also available through the Web site, and it recently added a new line for the classroom called "School Edition". The concept for ValSecrets was developed months ago and the website's owner, Valeria Tignini, has been working diligently with her team to ensure perfection in every detail of the website from concept to operation. The site is a breath if fresh air in the midst of today's economic crisis, foreclosure rates, and war on the news, bringing positivity and fortitude back into the forefront of media.

The official launch party was held February 21, 2009 at the Boucarou Lounge in New York City and was a huge success.
