The Texas Wine School Partners with Nos Caves Vin in Houston to Offer the French Wine Scholar Certification
The Texas Wine School is a new and independent learning center for all things wine. It is the only school in Texas to be offering this prestigious program from the French Wine Society.

The French Wine Scholar study is designed to test for proficiency in the wines and wine regions of France. It is endorsed by the National French Wine Office and U. S. Importers of French Wine.
Classes take place over a 7 week period and include a seminar on the 8 major grape varietals. Each student receives a French Wine Scholar Manual; a 250-page, full-color study manual. The course was developed by the French Wine Society, an organization dedicated to the promotion of French wine through French wine education in North America. It was vetted by the French National Wine Office and is up to date and comprehensive in its coverage of each wine region’s history, climate, geology, soils, viticulture, viniculture and wine law.
James King started the Texas Wine School after moving to Houston in 2010. His experience in wine and wine education includes setting up the Wine & Spirit Education Trust program at the Wine House in LA in 2007, and conducting training seminars throughout North America for the North American West Coast Burgundy Wine Board’s (B. I.V. B.) Tastings in February 2010.
