BlogHer and Food Fête to Showcase Artisanal Food and Beverage Products at Sold-out BlogHer Food Conference Oct. 8 in San Francisco

BlogHer and Food Fête to co-host “Welcome Party” for BlogHer’s second annual BlogHer Food Conference

Belmont, CA (PRWEB) August 19, 2010

Belmont, CA, and Portland, OR, August 19, 2010 -- BlogHer, Inc. (http://www. blogher. com/), the leading participatory news, entertainment and information network for women online, and Food Fête, LLC (http://www. foodfete. com/index. html), producer of sponsored media events for specialty food and beverage products, are teaming up this fall to co-host the “Welcome Party” for BlogHer’s second annual BlogHer Food Conference held October 8-9, 2010 in San Francisco.

The centerpiece of the party will be a food and beverage product showcase, affording up to 25 artisanal food and beverage producers the opportunity to meet and sample their products to more than 300 influential food bloggers attending BlogHer Food ’10 from across the country.

“The influential food bloggers of the BlogHer community are changing the face of the food industry, and many of them have a special affinity for regional, artisanal vendors who bring the same care to their craft as the bloggers do to theirs,” said Elisa Camahort Page, BlogHer COO and co-founder. “This special event at BlogHer Food ’10 gives smaller, artisanal companies an unprecedented opportunity to build relationships with food bloggers they might not otherwise get a chance to meet in person.”

“Food Fête has been producing its signature media events for six years, so it’s a natural fit for us to collaborate with BlogHer Food to create this unique platform for food brands and bloggers to meet each other,” said Jeff Davis, Food Fête founder and producer. “We’ve been witnessing the influence of food bloggers on smaller brands for several years, so as the traditional media landscape is changing, brands are recognizing that bloggers are reaching new groups of foodie consumers interested in learning about new products and how to use them.”

The welcome party sponsorship is at a special rate, and available only to producers of artisanal food and beverage products, boutique wineries, craft distilleries and breweries. Companies interested in participating can contact Food Fête at jeff(at)foodfete(dot)com.

Now in its second year, BlogHer Food ’10 is a topic-focused event that brings together food bloggers from every walk of life, to learn, share best practices, blog, meet and eat. More information on BlogHer Food ’10, which is already sold out, can be found at http://www. blogher. com/conferences (http://www. blogher. com/conferences).
