Lorna Bracewell will host "Lorna Bracewell and Friends," a concert which will benefit CASA of St. Petersburg, at 7 PM on Saturday, August 20, 2005, at Pro Star Recording Studio in St. Petersburg.

Lorna Bracewell, a 21-year old Tampa Bay area native, has been making her mark in the independent music circuit with her "tough and taut" guitar playing, her "powerful and poignant" songs, and her "easy smile and quirky sense of humor." Lorna's latest release, God Forbid, is described by Heat Beat Magazine as "an aggressive, defiant, acoustic romp."

Lorna will be joined by two other outstanding performers, singer/songwriter Adrianne from Venice Beach, California, and studio guitarist extraordinaire Sal DiTroia. Adrianne is a Berklee graduate and winner of the 1999 USA Songwriting Competition overall Grand Prize for best song and lyrics. Her songs remind listeners that pop can still be edgy and relevant.

Sal DiTroia's discography is about as big as some radio stations' record collections. Sal embodies what can happen when passion meets experience, as he brings to Lorna's music the same melodic fervor he brought to Paul Simon's "The Boxer" and Janis Ian's "At Seventeen."

The concert will benefit CASA (Community Action Stops Abuse). CASA's mission is to advocate for social change by providing community education, outreach support, crisis intervention, and safe environments for survivors of domestic violence and their children. For more information on CASA, see www. casa-stpete. org.

Five dollars of every ticket sold will be donated directly to CASA, and each ticket includes one entry to win a beautiful Luna Moth guitar. Additional raffle entries may be purchased for five dollars, which will also be donated directly to CASA.

Lorna Bracewell and Sal DiTroia will be announcing their affiliations with ItsAboutMusic. com, an Internet digital distribution company. Lorna's and Sal's recordings are available for digital download at ItsAboutMusic. com. In addition, Lorna and ItsAboutMusic will announce her next special project which will also benefit CASA.
