McDonald’s® Supports Fight Against Breast Cancer

Tampa Bay McDonald’s presents $37K check to Florida Suncoast Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation August 15th.

A check in the amount of $37,392.76 will be presented to the Florida Suncoast Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation from McDonald’s Restaurants of Tampa Bay at 9:00 am on August 15th. The presentation will take place at the McDonald’s restaurant located at 4443 West Kennedy Boulevard in Tampa.

The funds were raised in McDonald’s restaurants throughout 10 counties in Tampa Bay area this spring.

From May 8 though May 14th customers were given an opportunity to purchase pink ribbons for $1 to benefit the Florida Suncoast Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Ribbons were then displayed in the restaurants. Additionally, proceeds from the sale of apple pies on May 13th and 14th at local McDonald’s were donated to the Florida Suncoast Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

“Our restaurants are proud to support initiatives designed to help raise funds for breast cancer awareness and research. We are pleased to be able to provide a way for our customers to be a part of this important effort.” said Allison Adams, McDonald’s Owner/Operator and member of the McDonald’s Women’s Owner/Operator Network.

Owner/Operator and President of the Tampa Bay Marketing Association for McDonald’s, Stu Brown, will present a large pink check in the amount of $37,392.76 to the Florida Suncoast Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation’s Executive Director Lynn Rasys and President of the Board of Directors Fran Lambert, along with Ms. Adams.
