Chicago, IL (PRWEB) March 1, 2008

A new blog offering observations and opinions on trends and events shaping PR and marketing strategies and tactics has been launched by Chicago-based Hodge Schindler Integrated Communications.

Posts on Diabloguer (www. diabloguer. wordpress. com) delve into a spectrum of matters being discussed on other PR and marketing blogs as well as in the pages of traditional media. These include posts on how institutions of higher learning can market smarter when budgets are being cut, and look at emerging technologies communicators should watch to consider adding to their toolkit.

Senior members of Hodge Schindler's staff currently contribute to Diabloguer.

"As an agency offering a range of services from a PR platform to growing businesses, we increasingly are integrating social media strategies into the mix," said Sally Saville Hodge, president of Hodge Schindler.

"One of the bloggers I like, Bill Sledzik (www. toughsledding. com) recently wrote that his PR students at Kent State University either blog or are failed -- 'you won't grasp the Zen of Web 2.0 until you become one with the medium.' He's right. And if we can't test and learn on our own account, how can we recommend these and other strategies to our clients?"

Hodge added: "We're having fun with this and anticipate it will help raise our profile for the kind of thinking we bring to our community and clients."

Hodge Schindler Integrated Communications (www. hodgeschindler. com) was formed in 2007 with the merger of two long-standing Chicago agencies, each in business for more than 20 years. Its integrated communications services are provided to a range of clients in the business-to-business, business-to-consumer, higher education, and professional association arenas.
