Culinary Institute of Virginia Holds First Career Fair
Norfolk-based, Culinary Institute of Virginia, the School of Culinary Arts at ECPI College of Technology, held their first ever Career Fair on Wednesday, February 27th, 2008. Over 20 different local employers participated in this event with some even conducting interviews and hiring students on the spot.

This month, March 2008, Culinary Institute of Virginia will be graduating their first class of students from their 18-month program. Graduates will have earned their Associate of Applied Science Degree in Culinary Science. To supplement their hands-on education, graduates will have participated in two externships during their time at Culinary Institute of Virginia in order to give them "real world" experience.
Dorothea Bovani, Director of Culinary Institute of Virginia, says, "It is our expectation that the first graduating class, as well as future graduates, are prepared to become skilled, knowledgeable, and responsible members of the workforce."
