Students and staff at Pima Medical Institute, 370 Printers Parkway in Colorado Springs, are springing into action by collecting new toys for homeless children, as well as children at TESSA, an organization serving victims of domestic violence. This year, Pima also invites the public to participate in the toy drive by dropping off a new, unwrapped present at the career college.
"Most of us have fond memories of being surrounded by friends and family during the holiday, as well as the joy of opening a special toy on Christmas," said Karen McGrath, campus director of the Colorado Springs career campus. "However, there are many children who are lacking in even the basic necessities. We hope to help as many children as possible to have a happy holiday, and if anyone in the community wants to help by dropping off a new, unwrapped toy at our campus, we would be happy to make sure it finds its way to a deserving boy or girl."
PMI is one of the premier medical career colleges in the western United States. The privately owned, accredited school provides students with a well-rounded education embracing theoretical classroom studies, as well as on-site training in allied health facilities within the community. This gives the student the opportunity to function in a working environment.
PMI has been serving students since 1972, with campuses in Albuquerque, New Mexico; Mesa and Tucson, AZ; Chula Vista, CA; Seattle and Renton, WA; Las Vegas, NV; as well as Colorado Springs and Denver.
