ReachMD Appoints Pharmaceutical Veteran as Executive Vice President of Sales and Business Development

Former Takeda executive Paul Boidy brings nearly two decades of healthcare experience to ReachMD

ReachMD, an innovative communications company providing advanced healthcare information and education for medical professionals, today announced that Paul Boidy, former Director of Neuroscience Marketing for Takeda Pharmaceuticals, joins the company as its Executive Vice President of Business Development and Customer Solutions.

A veteran in the pharmaceutical industry, Boidy has nearly two decades of experience in leading the sales and marketing efforts of successful healthcare brand initiatives. Boidy most recently was responsible for the planning and execution of several key brands at Takeda Pharmaceuticals North America, and served as the leader of professional and consumer strategies involving the company's neuroscience products, including the recent successful DTC launch of Rozerem for insomnia treatment.

At ReachMD, Boidy will be responsible for leading the sales and business development operations with a mission to build the companyÂ’s strategic partnerships, marketing and communications sponsorships in addition to continuing its medical education agreements. Boidy will report directly to Gary Epstein, CEO of ReachMD.

Boidy has held positions of increasing responsibility in market development and the successful launch of pharmaceutical products within multiple therapeutic areas including CNS, cardiovascular, anti-infective, sleep disorders and arthritis/pain brands such as Celebrex.

His experiences in this arena have made him a sought after speaker at industry conferences including the Drug Information Association and multiple eMarketing conferences.

Boidy earned his degree in Economics at the University of Missouri-Columbia and completed the UCLA Medical Marketing Program at the Anderson School of Business at the University of California, Los Angeles. He is based in Chicago.
