"With global warming becoming more of a reality, the world is in trouble," says Christy Moynihan, chair of the Green Gala. "As a parent and artist, sensitive to the state of the world, choosing a theme for our event this year was obvious. I hope anyone who considers contributing to this event, doesn't just look at it as an endeavor that supports a private school, but one that represents an opportunity to help the planet."
"I am proud of the progress that we have made," adds Michael Eanes, Head of the school. "Not only is The Willow School renowned for its innovations in the educational arena, but with the awards it has received for its "green" status, it serves as an important voice in the world. With the construction of a new building in process, we intend to apply the proceeds of the Green Gala directly to these costs."
