Spanish Schoolhouse Language Immersion School Expands as Populartiy Grows - Additional Schools to Open in Grapevine/Southake and North Dallas

Spanish Schoolhouse Inc., a company providing Spanish language immersion programs announced today that it is opening two new schools in Grapevine/Southlake and North Dallas to meet growing demand.

Coppell, TX (PRWEB) March 23, 2006

Spanish Schoolhouse Inc., a company providing Spanish language immersion programs announced today that it is opening two new schools in Grapevine/Southlake and North Dallas to meet growing demand. They are currently enrolling for the Grapevine/Southlake and North Dallas schools with classes starting in August. Spanish Schoolhouse offers Spanish language and culture programs designed to teach and develop preschool skills using the Spanish language. Children receive a preschool education and acquire the Spanish language.

“We’ve had great success with our schools in Frisco and Coppell and now we have parents asking us to start programs in areas close to them,” states Vicki Kelly, Spanish Schoolhouse Director & Co-Owner. In addition to our Spanish Schoolhouses in Frisco, Coppell, Grapevine/Southlake and North Dallas, we plan to continue to grow and open new locations in the Metroplex in the future.”

The Spanish Schoolhouse is a part of a trend towards a growing English/Spanish bilingual population. The Spanish Schoolhouse is unique in that it offers language programs to preschool and school-age children in an immersion environment, the most effective way to teach language.

Children enter the Spanish Schoolhouse preschool at age two and are immersed in the Spanish language and culture during the school day until they move to kindergarten. In addition, the Spanish Schoolhouse also offers bilingual kindergarten at their Frisco and Coppell locations. There are learning opportunities for older children through after school classes and summer camp. Adult classes are also offered.

“Research proves the best time to learn additional languages is while children are young…From birth to age 12 or 13 there is a ‘window of opportunity’ where it is easier for children to acquire languages because their brains are pre-wired for language development,” states Kelly. This ‘window of opportunity’ is what our program takes advantage of.”

“Having native Spanish language speakers as teachers is a key element of our programs. Students are learning Spanish the right way with the correct dialect and accent”, says Kelly. “From the beginning, the children speak Spanish without an English accent. It is amazing.”

"I feel so fortunate that my son has the opportunity to learn Spanish in the immersion program. It is very apparent that learning another language will make his world larger and richer in countless ways," says Stacy Hallon, mom to three year old student, Nicholas (see photo attached).

Informational coffees are being held on various dates at the Spanish Schoolhouses of Grapevine/Southlake and North Dallas. Public and media are invited to attend. The Spanish Schoolhouse – Grapevine/Southlake will be located at the Abundant Life Church, 1520 Wall St., Grapevine. The Spanish Schoolhouse – North Dallas will be located at the Dallas Bible Church 15765 Hillcrest Rd., Dallas.
