Computykes brings nationally recognized and award winning computer camp development designed for young learners to Monmouth County.
Shrewsbury NJ (PRWEB) June 24, 2005
Imagine Tomorrow® Computer Classes for Kids at Computykes Computer Center in Shrewsbury, NJ launched their innovative summer computer camp for children this week.
Each Imagine Tomorrow® Computer Class at Computykes combines a fun learning adventure with sophisticated technology concepts in a creative way that teaches children to use computers as a tool for learning. Children work on their own computers using Imagine Tomorrow® software that is custom built for each lesson and dynamically adjusts to each child's academic and technical ability levels. Small classes for ages 2-9 are led by certified Imagine Tomorrow® teachers. Parents receive online password to access lessons learned each class and software activities for reinforcement at home. The summer camp at Computykes adds additional creative elements that enable children to work on activities that simulate leading graphic design programs. In these programs, children learn how to use graphics to work on projects such as creating name badges and designing web pages.
The Imagine Tomorrow® program was founded in 1991 by former schoolteacher Judy Patterson, and is expanding nationally through licensing opportunities. The Computykes computer center was the first of its kind opened in Monmouth County.
ÂAs a teacher and a parent of young children with extensive experience in education, I recognize the value that the Imagine Tomorrow® program brings to the children in the area in which I live, said Niccole Lucich, Director of Education at Computykes. ÂComputykes is proud to offer the Imagine Tomorrow® program, which integrates technology concepts with academic skills, such as literacy, writing and math. With the additional emphasis on helping children learn to use computers as a tool of creative expression, there really is no program comparable to it in Monmouth County, said Lucich.
Computykes is currently accepting enrollment its Summer Camp as well as school year classes. For more information on classes or enrollment, call 732.383.4246 or visit online at www. helpingyoungmindsgrow. com.
