American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine Honors the 2010 Diplomates of ABDSM

The latest issue of “Dialogue”, the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine’spublication honors the Diplomates of 2010 for the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine. The Diplomates went through a rigorous 8 month process of exams, applications, letters of recommendation, case studies and pre requisite positions. Out of many applicants, only 11 were awarded the title of Diplomates in the industry of Dental Sleep Medicine. The need for practitioners to hold specific knowledge and skills in Dental Sleep Medicine continues to rapidly grow, as does the awareness of OSA (Obstructive Sleep Apnea).
Diplomate status recognizes dentists licensed by law who’ve successfully completed the board certification requirements established by the ABDSM. Diplomates are recognized by patients, colleagues, professional organizations in both medicine and dentistry as having met the highest level of DSM knowledge. “Becoming a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine was intense, and worthwhile.
