Where University 2006 Teams Up with the H-Games
Morris Visitor Publications Partners with the Illinois Hotel & Lodging Association to Host the Largest Gathering of Chicagoland Hotel Professionals Ever
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) February 17, 2006
The 4th Annual Where University, presented by Morris Visitor Publications (MVP), will be held at the Merchandise Mart (Kinzie at Wells, Chicago) on Tuesday, February 28, 2006. For the first time ever, Where University will be held in conjunction with the Illinois Hotel & Lodging Association’s Knowledge Games and Hospitality Games. Together, these two great happenings will draw more than 2,000 Illinois hotel professionals, making this the largest Chicago concierge event of the year. This exclusive industry event (not open to the public) attracts virtually every hotel and corporate concierge in the greater Chicago area.
Where University reaches the Chicagoland hotel concierge, corporate concierge, residential concierge, bellmen, hotel front desk staff, and other guest service and meeting planner professionals. The event includes a tradeshow with more than 150 exhibiting Chicago businesses. Vendors include retailers, restaurants, attractions, spas and theaters all of which are able to share information with the concierge and guest service professionals. The day’s agenda also includes an educational speaker. This year, Marilyn Miglin will speak on how to put your best face forward. Miglin is a world-renowned beauty authority, author and speaker and is among the nation’s top 500 women business owners.
Through Morris Visitor Publications’ partnership with the Illinois Hotel & Lodging Association, this year’s agenda has expanded to include, not only the 2nd Annual Knowledge Games, a “Family-Feud”-style competition among Chicago hotels, but also the addition of the H-Games. The Knowledge games is a game-show style event in which teams from Chicagoland hotels are asked Chicago trivia and questions a concierge may be asked by a guest. The 4th Annual H-Games is a high-energy competition in which employees of the Illinois hotel and lodging industry compete in several energetic events such as Sealy Bednastics, the Sanitaire Sweep and Carson Pirie Scott’s Bell Cart Wheelie culminating in an awards ceremony where thousands of dollars in prizes and trophies are awarded.
