Susan Hardy Moves to Stone Mountain School to Become Executive Director

Hardy Leaves Post as Executive Director at Adirondack Leadership Expeditions, Continues on in Aspen Education Group Family of Programs

Susan Hardy, M. Ed., has accepted the position of executive director for Stone Mountain School in Black Mountain, North Carolina, effective July 1, 2007. Stone Mountain School, a member of Aspen Education Group, is a therapeutic boarding school for boys ages 11-16 with learning differences or disabilities, attention deficit disorder (ADD), and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Hardy currently serves as executive director of Adirondack Leadership Expeditions, also a program of Aspen Education Group, in Upstate New York. More information about Adirondack's new executive director will be forthcoming. The current executive director for Stone Mountain School, Sam Moore, will be continuing on in the role of admissions director.

Hardy brings to this position 17 years of experience in the therapeutic education industry, the last two of which have been at Adirondack. Her previous positions within the industry have included regional administrator and director of education in which she successfully worked toward earning Joint Commission and academic accreditations. She earned her masters of education from Vanderbilt University and her bachelors of science in education from the University of Illinois.

Stone Mountain School is located on a 100-acre mountain setting campus in western North Carolina.
