Multi-Platinum Artist 50 Cent and the G-Unity Foundation Handsomely Contribute For Second Year In A Row To Glenn Toby’s Book Bank Foundation Holiday Distribution Spectacular For the Homeless.

(PRWEB) December 22, 2005

For a second year in a row, 50 Cent and the G-Unity Foundation has stepped up to directly aid NYC’s homeless population by generously contributing an undisclosed amount to the Book Bank Foundation’s annual holiday clothing distribution spectacular.

Founded by celebrity sports agent Glenn Toby, the Book Bank Foundation is known for transforming New York City homeless shelters such as The Bowery Mission into free one-day holiday super stores that are stocked with brand new clothing, toys and over the counter medicine. On Friday, December 23, 2005, thanks to the generous contributions of 50 Cent, corporate donators and Glenn Toby, the Book Bank Foundation will be taking its distribution crusade a step further this year.

In addition to distributing at the Bowery Mission, the Book Bank Foundation will distribute over $150,000 dollars worth of brand new clothing, toys, shoes and over the counter medicine to three other NYC area shelters. “50 Cent is a man of his word and the Book Bank Foundation thanks him and the G-Unity Foundation for continually joining us as fighters in this battle against poverty and suffering,” says BBF founder Glenn Toby.

As a result of the literal overflow of the homeless onto New York City streets due to the current MTA transit strike, Glenn Toby and the Book Bank Foundation will also distribute clothing on various street corners to people in need that are unable to gain entry into any shelters due to capacity restrictions. “Growing up homeless for almost eight years as a child has given me a deep insight into the importance of cutting red tape and sharing blessings directly with people in need,” says Toby.

This year’s recipients will be assisted on-site by a plethora of recording artists and celebrities including Doug E. Fresh, Hip Hop violinist Miri Ben Ari and others.
