The concert will benefit the I Heart Haiti Kids in an effort to send books and help rebuild schools in Haiti. “As a student at the University of Southern California as well as an athlete, I realize how important it is for every child to have a proper education, it should not be a luxury but a necessity,” says Romeo. “As a survivor of Hurricane Katrina and I know the importance of rebuilding your life after a tragedy. I believe we have to do all we can to help the children of Haiti, it is the right thing to do,” adds Miller.
Six Flags Friends, the philanthropic arm of Six Flags Magic Mountain has joined with the group to help support their efforts. The I Heart Haiti Kids organization’s goal is to raise awareness, collect books and raise funds to rebuild schools for Haiti kids. Anyone bringing two new or gently used school or children’s books (appropriate for K-12 school-age children) to Six Flags Magic Mountain the weekends of Feb. 27-28, March 6-7 or March 13-14, will receive a discounted admission ticket of $24.99.
