Avectra Looks Toward Continued Growth in 2010

Customer growth, product enhancements and industry recognition in 2009 usher association management software provider into a new decade.

McLean, VA (Vocus) March 12, 2010

Avectra (http://www. avectra. com/Pages/Avectra. aspx), the industry’s association management software (http://www. avectra. com/Pages/WhatisAMS. aspx) innovator, announced today company results for 2009 – celebrating continued customer growth, powerful product enhancements and industry recognition amid the challenging economy.

Avectra closed out the decade with its netFORUM membership management software powering more than 1,100 member-based organizations. In addition to completing 24 implementations of netFORUM Enterprise (http://www. avectra. com/Pages/EnterpriseOverview. aspx), the company added a number of new netFORUM Enterprise clients including the Association for Financial Professionals (AFP), the American Dietetic Association (ADA) and the Association Forum of Chicagoland.

In 2009 alone, the company welcomed 400 new clients using netFORUM Team (http://www. avectra. com/Pages/TeamOverview. aspx) and netFORUM Pro (http://www. avectra. com/Pages/ProOverview. aspx) – Avectra’s completely Web-based membership management solutions. Representing more than 100% customer growth, the company’s new clients include AMR Management Services, the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges (AGB) and the National Farmers Union (NFU).

“In these tough economic times, associations are looking to invest in technologies to help them do more with less,” said Barry Malek, chief executive officer for Avectra. “This past year’s success is a reflection of our commitment to helping associations use technology to preserve their membership, recruit new members and create non-dues revenue while improving the efficiency of their operations.”

Engaging the growing community of netFORUM users, Avectra celebrated its fifth annual netFORUM Enterprise users and developers conference (AUDC) in 2009 and launched TeamProCommunity. com – a member community for networking and sharing best practices with association peers and Avectra staff.

Key product enhancements in 2009 included the release of netFORUM Enterprise 3.0 (http://wiki. avectra. com/NetFORUM3.0), featuring automated workflows, personalized dashboards and expanded Microsoft SharePoint integration. The company also released three major product upgrades of netFORUM Team and netFORUM Pro – introducing new social media functionality, a netFORUM iPhone application and netFORUM Pro software customized for real estate associations (http://www. avectra. com/Pages/netFORUMProRealEstate. aspx).

Avectra is also pleased to have been recognized for its leadership position in the industry, ranking as the largest and fastest-growing association management software provider among Software Magazine’s 27th Annual Software 500 and participating in Microsoft’s select Early Adopter Program for emerging Microsoft technologies.

“The Early Adopter Program chooses a very exclusive set of independent software vendors to adopt, test and create solutions for our products,” said Ashish Jaiman, ISV architect evangelist for Microsoft. “We chose Avectra for its leadership in the space of association management software and in recognition of all the great things Avectra is doing.”

Bringing the successful year to a close, Avectra moved its primary hosting operations to a new state-of-the-art, SAS-70 certified data center in late December. Located in Ashburn, Va., on one of the largest Internet exchange points in the world, the facility has enhanced netFORUM performance while cutting energy usage by more than 40%.

With 200 employees on staff, the company is building for further growth and is hiring for positions (http://www. avectra. com/Pages/Careers. aspx) in sales, operations and client services. “We are looking forward to another record year of growth – growth in our product, growth in our staff and growth in the success of our customers,” said Malek. “We’re pleased to enter this new decade in such a strong position, and we anticipate many good things in 2010.”
