VCAD Awards Creativity with Scholarship Opportunity

$5,000 awarded to most creative video response to VCAD’s latest clip on YouTube

Vancouver, BC (Vocus) December 9, 2009

Transformations happen at VCAD. Now, the Vancouver-based art and design school is encouraging 2010 high school graduates to show the world what they’re passionate about and how VCAD will help them achieve their dreams. By submitting a one minute video in response to the "Where Transformations Happen!" clip on YouTube, entrants will have a shot at being awarded a $5,000 scholarship!

“VCAD encourages creativity and artistic expression,” says says Bohdan Bilan, VP Academics at VCAD. “The video competition on YouTube gives applicants a chance to show us exactly how an education in art and design will help transform their future.”

On top of the $5,000 YouTube scholarship, VCAD will be awarding $150,000 to high school grads in 2010. Applicants for this latest scholarship opportunity must record a one-minute video showcasing their passion and post it as a video comment on VCAD's YouTube page (http://www. youtube. com/user/VancouverVCAD (http://www. youtube. com/user/VancouverVCAD)). All videos must incorporate the art schools logo, which can be downloaded at (http://vancouver. vcad. ca/VCAD. png (http://vancouver. vcad. ca/VCAD. png)). The award will go to the most creative video that draws the most views. VCAD reserves the right to limit, refuse and remove any entry deemed unsuitable.
