Designer’s childhood pastime inspires fun table décor.

Columbus, OH (PRWEB) September 14, 2006 –

When Diana Eng was a small child impatiently waiting for dinner at local restaurants, her mother would entertain her by folding origami puppets from the dinner napkins. Fascinated by the process, Diana soon began folding her own animal creations.

The Origanimals Collection is designed to recreate four of Diana’s favorite childhood folds. The collection was designed in partnership and exclusively for the trendy home décor website RealmDekor. com.

Restaurant-quality fabric dinner napkins were used as the template for color-coded stitching, enabling the user to easily make the origami folds in sequence. The final step of buttoning secures the folds in place.

The four animals each have their own unique charm. The snail’s shell rolls up. The peacock’s feathers spread out. The rabbit’s ears twist open. And the bear takes shape like the folding of a book.

The Origanimals Collection promises to be a terrific gift idea for all age groups. For children it functions as an educational and entertaining diversion, while the glossy, black packaging with carry handle makes it a stylish and unique hostess gift for holiday parties.

Diana Eng is a fashion designer currently living in New York City. Her work focuses on combining fashion with technology. She is a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design where she received a bachelor of fine arts in apparel design. Diana achieved notoriety in early 2006 as a contestant on Bravo TV’s Project Runway Season 2.
