Avenue Bank Promotes two and Adds new Associates

Ronald L. Samuels, Chairman, CEO and President of Avenue Bank, today announced two promotions and four new associates who have joined the Avenue Bank team.

April Britt has been promoted to Vice President, Learning Manager. This is a new role at Avenue Bank in which Ms. Britt will oversee all aspects of training, education and development for company associates. She most recently served as the Cool Springs Branch Manager, having joined Avenue Bank in 2008 to open that location. Ms. Britt has more than 10 years of banking experience. She is a 2001 graduate of the University of Memphis, with a BBA in Finance. She is active in the March of Dimes as a volunteer and fundraiser, and is a member of CABLE, a networking organization that promotes community service and civic connections.

Shannon Kazmerowski has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, Cool Springs Branch Manager. Ms. Kazmerowski joined Avenue Bank in March 2008 as a Concierge Banker and was a part of the team that opened the Cool Springs branch. She has more than five years of retail banking experience. In 2005, she received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Kentucky University. She is a member of the Junior League of Nashville and is currently serving on the board of directors for Operation Stand Down Nashville.

Cory Browell joins Avenue Bank as a Senior Vice President, Commercial Relationship Manager. Mr. Browell has more than 15 years in the banking industry. He most recently served in Commercial Banking at US Bank. He is a 1996 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Accounting and an MBA in Finance.

Kelly Rogers is a new Concierge Banker at the Cummins Station branch of Avenue Bank. Previously, Ms. Rogers was a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch. She is a 2007 graduate of the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, where she worked in the fashion industry before returning to Nashville in 2008. She is a graduate of the Young Leaders program and serves on the Board of Directors for the Oak Hill School Alumni Council.

Paul Vernich is also a new Concierge Banker with the Cummins Station branch. Prior to joining Avenue Bank, Mr. Vernich spent two years in financial services with Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. He is a graduate of UT-Knoxville with a B. S. in Business Administration/Finance.

Michael Whiting joined Avenue Bank as a Mortgage Loan Originator. He has over eight years of experience in the mortgage industry. Mr. Whiting is an active member of the Downtown Nashville Rotary and volunteers with the Book'em Program.
