UK Knack Group, leaders in the field of executive careers consultancy, are pleased to announce yet another sign of Great Britain’s recovery from a spell of economic vicissitudes, with news of huge new school-building projects in London and the North-West.
UK Knack Group confirms that Balfour Beatty has undertaken to complete 106 million pounds’ worth of construction and refurbishment work on schools in Southall, Oldham and Greenford, and the its MD says, “This will provide an enormous number of construction jobs at all levels from engineers down to labourers, and will be not only of immediate financial benefit to the men and their families but will ensure a lasting skills legacy for the benefit of these communities.”
Balfour is already working on various education-related projects totalling 800 million pounds value, the majority of which are operated as Private Public Partnerships – a co-operative effort between private enterprise and the Education Department.
News of this latest proposal comes at a particularly opportune time, says UK Knack Group in its MD’s news release where he admits: “It’s a Godsend for construction workers in London, a fair number of who have been doing it tough for the best – or worst! – part of this year past. Some of them have, in fact, had no work at all.”
The Balfour Beatty project will be a morale booster for staff, too, as is evident from the words of a Dormer Wells spokesman in Southall: “We are all very excited (about our new facilities)... staff and pupils have put so much work into this.”
