Live demonstrations showing how to create pallet-pedigree, asset-tracking and flexible-logistics solutions planned for the exhibit floor at RFID Journal LIVE! 2007, to be held April 30 to May 2 at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando

New York (PRWEB) April 17, 2007

RFID Journal, the world's leading media and events company covering radio frequency identification (RFID), today announced that Alien Technology, a leading provider of RFID solutions, will conduct live RFID@Work demonstrations of radio frequency identification applications at RFID Journal LIVE! 2007. The demonstrations will take place in the event's 86,000-sq.-ft. exhibit hall, May 1 to May 2, in Orlando, Fla., at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort.

Alien is collaborating with several of its strategic partners, including IBM, Microsoft, Intel, Unisys, SAP, Ciber and Filetrail, as well as with leading RFID end users, to demonstrate seven RFID applications. These demonstrations will be repeated on each day of the event to ensure all attendees get the opportunity to view them. The seven presentations are:
Lessons learned from successful RFID hardware, software and system implementation Building a pallet-pedigree solution for flexible and scalable RFID RFID@Work across the enterprise and in the office Leverage a track-and-trace pedigree framework to enable additional business-use cases An introduction to FLIER (Flexible Logistics Information Environment for RFID) The iGPS asset-tracking deployment in review: visibility solutions at the edge

"We're extremely pleased to be working with Alien Technology to bring an educational component to the exhibit hall again this year," said Mark Roberti, editor of RFID Journal. "Last year, the demo center was extremely popular with attendees. It's an opportunity for us to work with a leading technology provider to add even more value to an event that already has an extensive conference program."

The RFID@Work demonstrations are designed to provide RFID Journal LIVE! attendees with practical information they can use to begin adopting RFID technology today. Alien Technology has worked with some of RFID's leading early adopters, and has gained insight into how those companies are using RFID successfully today. The company will share these insights in easy-to-understand demonstrations.

"RFID Journal LIVE! has been helping educate end users, systems integrators and resellers for five years,' said George Everhart, CEO of Alien Technology. "The demonstration center gives us the opportunity to assist in that effort, and to demonstrate how our leadership technology and partnerships are bringing real business benefit to our customers."
