Institute for Sustainable Communication Announces SustainCommWorld Conference and Expo 2008

The Institute for Sustainable Communication (ISC) is pleased to announce its founding sponsorship of the inaugural SustainCommWorld Conference and Expo held in Boston on October 1-2, 2008 at the Marriott Copley Place.

New York, NY (PRWEB) January 9, 2008

SustainCommWorld is the first international conference and exhibition where all of the key stakeholders groups responsible for enterprise communication and media supply chain decisions will be assembled. The goal of the conference is to stimulate a transformation in the way media supply chain practices and communication products are specified, created, sourced, produced, distributed and managed through their end of life.

The event will focus on the sustainability and corporate responsibility issues facing four key groups of professionals:
Senior executives accountable for business results, Advertising, marketing, public relations, publishing, design and packaging professionals, Information technology, digital media and graphic communication purchasing and supply management professionals, Marketing and sales professionals for manufacturers and vendors of print and digital media hardware, software and services.

Don Carli, senior research fellow, ISC, will serve as the conference chairperson and content
Programming director. According to Carli, "Climate change, sustainability, green products and green marketing are increasingly being addressed in the media, but the time has arrived to move beyond communicating about sustainability and to communicate more sustainably. Whether one communicates in print or digitally neither the electrons nor the molecules are free."

ISC is a non-profit organization committed to advancing the sustainable use of communication media through research, education, and the promotion of proven business practices. Oya Demirli, executive director, ISC, notes that the mission of the ISC perfectly aligns with the goals of SustainCommWorld, and that the timing for this conference, is ideal. "A rapidly increasing amount of effort is being devoted to the topics of responsible and profitable publishing in print and in digital media," states Demirli. She adds, "SustainCommWorld provides a much needed forum where communication leaders can share their knowledge, while newcomers can gain valuable green insights."

The conference will open attendee registration on March 1, 2008. Companies interested in sponsorship or exhibiting opportunities should contact Kathleen Kaiser at 805.524.6970 or Kathleen(at)SustainCommWorld. com.
