There is basic information that all women should have gotten when we were 13 years old. “It's never too late to learn,” Sheri Winston, wholistic sexuality teacher, midwife, and womancare practitioner, assures us. She will teach this class at the Wise Woman Center in Woodstock, NY, May 1, 2004.

Also known as “Your Female Parts 101--Care & Maintenance of Your Female Parts--An Owner's Guide To The Vagina,” “Vaginal Ecology” is a wholistic overview of useful facts, fascinating details and other information that will empower women in their health care, fertility management and sexuality. This is the stuff that all women need to know.

This class covers the truth about female anatomy, what parts you have (including the good ones frequently left out of books), how they work and how best to care for them.

Learn what constitutes a healthy vaginal environment and how to promote and maintain one, to recognize the 2 most common vaginal infections, as well as urinary infections, alternative therapies for treatment and how to prevent them. Sheri briefly covers how the menstrual/fertility cycle really works, how best to support menstrual health and alternative menstrual care options, as well as alternatives to hormonal birth control.

“Vaginal Ecology” will be held at the Wise Woman Center on May 1, 2004, from 10am-5pm. The sliding scale fee of $50-$75 includes a delicious vegetarian lunch.
