Anger Coach Certifies Community Educators To Teach Emotional Skills to Youth
The Anger Coach, a leader in anger management programs, announces a new one-of-a-kind certification program for community educators who work with children and adolescents at risk for current or future anger problems. According to Dr. Tony Fiore, clinical psychologist and owner of The Anger Coach company, anger control programs for youth are few and far between, yet should be an essential part of character and personal development of children, especially children at risk for later spousal abuse, community violence, workplace conflict or personal unhappiness due to poor emotional control.

The Anger Coach, a leader in anger management programs, announces a new certification program for community educators who work with children and adolescents at risk for current or future anger problems. According to Dr. Tony Fiore, clinical psychologist and owner of The Anger Coach, anger control programs for youth are few and far between, yet should be an essential part of character and personal development of children, especially children at risk for later spousal abuse, community violence, workplace conflict or personal unhappiness due to poor emotional control.
Tom Callos, martial arts leader, says: "Allow me to introduce you to a Master in a form of self-defense that, until now, has rarely (if ever) been taught on the mat or in the training hall. Dr Fiore's Certified Anger Management Educator online training program is one of a kind--anywhere in the world. It is a 20 hour certification program that gives you the knowledge and skills to teach anger management to your students or other members of the community."
Certification as an anger management educator allows community leaders to teach proven principals of anger control to community groups, professional groups, and school children. This might include public schools, private schools, martial arts programs, sports coaches, parenting classes, outreach programs, summer camp programs for children and adolescents, mental hygiene programs in schools, after school programs, gang prevention outreach programs, driver education programs, driver-court programs, training camps, workplace continuing education programs etc.
According to Fiore, just as you don't need to be a medical doctor to educate people on medical issues (such as smoking cessation, diabetes control or weight management), similarly you don't need to be a mental health professional to teach anger management skills. Similar to a marriage educator who teaches marriage or parenting skills, the anger educator teaches the skills needed to regulate emotions, to cope better with stress, and to resolve conflicts with others more effectively. Although many anger educators are also professionals, you don't need to be. The main requirement to be a anger educator is a strong interest in doing so and the ability to teach the core concepts effectively to others.
Dr Fiore, with colleague Dr. Ari Novick, has developed a unique model of anger management that has proven to be highly effective with adults and older teens. Called the "eight-tools model" of anger control, it has proven to be very easy to learn and to teach to others. This new certification program teaches educators how to apply the core material to youth as young as eight years old.
