University Promotes Canadian Education in Turkey
UCAN wraps up recruitment tour in Istanbul.
Vancouver, BC (Vocus) October 23, 2009
Representatives from University Canada West are preparing to conclude their fall recruitment tour of Turkey in Istanbul on October 25, 2009. With an increasing number of international students looking to Canada for post-secondary education, UCAN hopes to provide access to those looking for a Canadian university education.
“The Canadian education system is recognized worldwide for providing a high quality academic education and credentials accepted by employers and universities around the globe,” says David Strong, UCAN’s President and Vice-Chancellor. “One of the major barriers to international students studying in Canada, however, is limited access to the public institutions. This does not apply to UCAN.”
UCAN representatives have been participating in the International Education Fairs of Turkey (IEFT) expos in Ankara, Izmir and Bursa. Representatives have also been conducting informational and educational seminars about the university and the values of a Canadian education.
“UCAN is already on its way to becoming a post-secondary institution of choice for students around the world,” Strong adds. “By committing to offering a high quality education through a wide range of methods that cater to both international and domestic students, we will strengthen the reputation and recognition as the university of choice for students worldwide.”
Representatives will hold an educational information seminar on in Istanbul October 23rd. UCAN will participate in the IEFT expo in Istanbul at the Hilton Hotel on October 24 – 25, 2009.
