Full Sail Welcomes SPARS Board of Directors for Panel Discussion

The professional audio organization will visit Full Sail's campus to participate in a panel discussion open to students. Representatives from Skywalker Sound, Crescent Moon Studios, and House of Blues will be in attendance, among others.

Winter Park, FL (PRWEB) April 23, 2005 -

– Full Sail Real World Education will be hosting a panel discussion featuring key members of the Society of Professional Audio Recording Services (SPARS) on Friday, April 22. The 2-hour event will cover a variety of recording industry topics, and is scheduled to begin at 6:00pm at Full Sail’s on-campus concert venue, Full Sail Live.

The Society of Professional Audio Recording Services, now in its 23rd year, was designed to nurture excellence in innovation, education, and communication within the professional recording industry. The panel discussion will allow Full Sail students access to an esteemed group of industry leaders, and will feature a moderated discussion, as well as an open question and answer session in which students can participate.

“This is an amazing opportunity to have one of the main associations within the audio industry at Full Sail to speak with our students,” says Tammy Gilbert, Full Sail’s Vice President/Director of Placement. “The majority of these people have had long-standing relationships with our school, and we’re excited to be able to share their insight with Full Sail’s up and coming professionals.”

SPARS board members scheduled to attend the panel include: Karen Brinton (Remote Recording), Steve Davis (Crawford Audio), Kevin Dillon (Crescent Moon Studios), Maureen Droney (House of Blues), Jeff Greenberg (Village Studios), Leslie Ann Jones (Skywalker Sound), Andrew Kautz (Emerald Studios), Mark McKenna (Allaire Studios), and Kevin Mills (Larrabee Studios).

“This unique session will be able to provide immediate insight into an industry that our students are hoping to launch into,” Gilbert says. “When the message is coming directly from experts in your field, nothing else compares to the kind of impact that experience can provide.”
