New Website Reveals How Online Texas Hold'em Poker Players Are Dominating the World Series of Poker

Internet Poker Coach launches a new website and releases a new ebook to act as a tutorial/practice tool for up and coming World Series of Poker champions.

Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) June 9, 2008

With the launch of http://www. internetpokercoach. com (http://www. internetpokercoach. com), the landscape of Texas Holdem both online and offline has been changed for the better. Timed to coincide with 2008 World Series of Poker (WSOP) events, this site will be an invaluable tool for poker players who want to improve their Texas Holdem game before they travel to Las Vegas for one of the 55 WSOP bracelet events.

The WSOP, having grown over its 39 year history to epic proportions and held annually in Las Vegas (now at the Rio All-Suite Hotel/Casino) promises the richest and most prestigious poker games in the world. The 2007 event set many records including 54,288 entrants, a $159,796,918.00 prize purse over all the events. Also of note; the largest Ladies World Championship, largest Seniors World Championship, the oldest player to compete (94 year-old Jack Ury), and the youngest player ever to win a WSOP gold bracelet in 21 year-old Steve Billirakis. According to Chris Wilcox, author of The No BS Guide to Winning Online Texas Holdem, "This year's event promises to be even bigger with more interesting twists with the surge of new online players."

A contributing factor to the phenomenon of the WSOP is the fact that internet poker players are coming to dominate the game. Whereas in years past, the WOSP was an event strictly played by live game pros, the emergence of Chris Moneymaker in the 2003 Main Event changed that forever. The following year the Main Event tournament was won by another amateur named Greg Raymer, and since, internet players such as Jamie Gold, playing in his first Main Event for Bodog Poker, and Jerry Yang, who won last year's event as a player for Full Tilt.

What these winners have in common is that they gained their Texas Holdem expertise playing on the Internet. In the case of Chris Moneymaker, he not only gained his experience from the Internet, but also qualified for the WSOP Main Event through the Internet.

Playing Internet poker, which can be played for free, gives players an invaluable tool to practice and refine their games against other live players in both ring games and tournament settings. Local card rooms give experience, but at a much slower pace than what the new players are gaining from the fast pace of Internet tournaments. "What this means is that you can gain valuable experience much faster," says Chris Wilcox.

With this growing opportunity available to online players, a new website called InternetPokerCoach. com has launched. It is the first site geared toward getting players on the fast track to the WSOP Main Event providing education and insider tips to online Texas Holdem and qualifying events to the WSOP.

"Maybe you don't have a live poker room in your area. Maybe you just don't want to go sit in a smoke-filled room with players who have played for 50 years making you feel stupid for not knowing how the game works. Whatever your reasons, http://www. internetpokercoach. com (http://www. internetpokercoach. com) can help," says Chris Wilcox.

Internetpokercoach. com's website is owned and operated by Chris Wilcox, the author of The No B. S. Guide to Winning Online No Limit Texas Hold'em. Whether you are a total beginner or a seasoned veteran of poker games, Wilcox's book will give you the edge you need to succeed in online poker, thereby honing your skills for the live games played in the WSOP.

The book is available from http://www. internetpokercoach. com (http://www. internetpokercoach. com) either by download in ebook form or by ordering the printed hard copy. You will find strategies and techniques put forth in an easy to understand manner. "The book will not bore you with complicated percentages and math equations. There is information here that will improve your play immediately and give you a leg up on the thousands of other players who aspire to play in the WSOP Main Event," says Chris Wilcox.

The site, http://www. internetpokercoach. com (http://www. internetpokercoach. com) is also a handy source for up to date, cutting edge information for all things poker, both on the internet and in bricks-n-mortar casinos. Included at the site is a newsletter, a free email course and a blog that is updated on a near day to day basis.

"Never before has there been a website dedicated to making you a better poker player, but now with InternetPokerCoach. com you can gain the skills you need to win a WSOP gold bracelet," says Chris Wilcox.
