Pinnacle Career Institute announced today that it has added an HVAC/ACR to the already expansive program offerings available at its North Kansas City* campus. The career-education-oriented institution offers hands-on programs in several of today’s fastest-growing career fields, including business, health and fitness, and healthcare.

Recognizing the growth opportunity in the heating and cooling industry, Pinnacle Career Institute added the program to bring area residents yet another option for career advancement. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, job prospects for heating, air conditioning and refrigeration mechanics and installers are expected to be excellent over the next decade, particularly for those who have completed an education from a career college or a formal apprenticeship.

“Many contractors have reported problems finding enough workers to meet the demand for service and installation of HVACR systems,” said Dr. Blake Faulkner, President/CEO of Pinnacle Career Institute – North Kansas City*. “PCI’s mission is to provide students with opportunities in the fastest-growing career fields. This program was a natural, seamless addition to our offerings.”

Pinnacle Career Institute’s 12-month program is comprised of classroom lectures and hands-on lab instruction. These courses can provide students a vast understanding of circuits; electricity; computers; mathematical network solutions; basic algebraic operations; duct design and air flow principles; commercial and residential heating and cooling variants; and alternative energy settings and formats, including geothermal, solar, wind and more. Courses are designed to educate students on both the theories and working knowledge of the foundations of HVAC and ACR systems.

Upon completion, graduates are prepared for entry-level positions as heating, refrigeration and air conditioning technicians. Career placement services are provided to students to help them attain the careers in the HVAC industry, and financial aid is available for those who qualify.
