Local Drug Rehab And Florida Radio Show Speak Out On Prescription Drug Epidemic

Suncoast Rehab Center Joins Prescription Addiction Radio In An Effort To Educate Floridians On Solutions To The Prescription Drug Epidemic That Claims The Lives Of Thousands Of Floridians Every Year

Clearwater, FL (PRWEB) August 28, 2009

Prescription Addiction Radio is a weekly talk radio show that was founded in an effort to assist individuals and families whose lives have been affected by prescription drug dependency and abuse. Founder Larry Golbom is a pharmacist by day but has devoted his free time to this cause because he has seen first hand the problem that prescription drugs has created in this country.

On Sunday Larry was joined by Eric Mitchell, President of Suncoast Rehabilitation Center in Spring Hill, FL. Suncoast will now become a regular part of the show in an effort to expand its current drug education and prevention activities and assist the show in reaching out to more Floridians who may be caught in the prescription addiction trap. You can listen to Sunday night's show at www. prescriptionaddictionradio. com.

Band members from Thrown Alive and Kore were also part of Sunday night's show, and the group discussed many topics such as "Civil Liberties vs. Protecting Our Children", a discussion regarding certain Libertarian's efforts to legalize drugs and how that would affect families across America.

Suncoast Rehab Center hopes to help get the show into other markets so that its message and assistance can be available to more Floridians. "prescription drugs are ruining lives and destroying families all over Florida and we feel that we have a responsibility as treatment providers and citizens of Florida to do our part to get the truth about prescription drugs to as many Floridians as possible" said Eric Mitchell of Suncoast.
