Freedombands. com Raises Over $30,000 in 2005 to Support US Troops and Their Families
The Jensen Family has reached $30,000 in donations and more colors of Freedom Bands are now available.

The fund-raising efforts of freedombands. com leaps past the $30,000 mark as new colors and designs become available. The familiar red bands inscribed with “LIFE LIBERTY FREEDOM” are now available in brand-new white, blue, swirl, camouflage and glow-in the dark. The more prominent black lettering of these new Freedom Bands allows wearers to clearly show their support for our American troops.
Not only do Freedom Bands raise money that is used 100% to support the US troops and their families back home, but they also give all Americans a reminder of the daily sacrifice out soldiers make. “It does not matter what party you belong to. These bands are to support those who fight for our country and say we are proud to be American,” says Lisa Jensen, who founded the effort with her husband Kib and their four children. Freedom Bands started as a family foundation based on the very successful Lance Armstrong “Live Strong” bands. The Jensens and their children knew the same concept would help them raise money for American forces. Starting with only 25,000 bands, orders have far exceeded that number and more shipments are arriving to cover the blossoming demand.
High schools, radio and television, as well as the troops themselves have generously bought and distributed the FreedomBands, leading to the $30,000 that has been raised and donated to charities and organizations devoted to helping soldiers and their families. FreedomBand donations have already been made to the American Red Cross, USA Cares, Armed Forces Children's Education Fund, the Fisher House Foundation and A Million Thanks.
Freedombands can be purchased at freedombands. com for $1 and come in packages of ten at the minimum. Larger purchases are welcome as well as donations. The bands are sold in adult and childrens sizes and come in Red, White, Blue, Swirl, Camouflage and glow-in-the-dark.
