Drexel University Launches a New Graduate Certificate in Creativity Studies

The new online Graduate Certificate in Creativity Studies allows students to apply creative problem solving to their workplace practices.

Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) August 24, 2009

Drexel University Online (http://www. drexelpr. com/), a leader in online degree programs, has added a new program to its offerings, the online Graduate Certificate in Creativity Studies from Drexel's Goodwin College of Professional Studies.

The Online Graduate Certificate in Creativity Studies (http://www. drexel. com/online-degrees/business-degrees/grad-cert-creativity/index. aspx) is designed to meet the needs of today's working professionals across many fields. Upon completion of the certificate program students will have formed an in-depth understanding of creatively enhanced communication, creative problem solving, and how these may be applied to practical situations that further their workplace culture. Participants will use their newly enhanced creative thinking skills to reflect critically on existing workplace practices and express coherent and cogent ideas and suggestions for continuous improvement.

Drexel partners with the American Creativity Association (ACA), affording students access to some of the world's most prominent thinkers, researchers, and writers in the field of creativity and innovation. The Drexel/Torrance Center for Creativity and Innovation, directed by Dr. Fredricka Reisman, is housed in the Goodwin College. The center promotes creativity using programs that cultivate skills in creative thinking, innovative leadership practices and problem solving techniques. Through the process of creative thought, the center's work enhances an individual's ability to imagine new ideas by learning to envision that which cannot immediately be seen.

"We're very proud to offer our students the outstanding Drexel curriculum within this convenient online format," said Dr. Kenneth Hartman, academic director for Drexel University Online. "All of our online programs, including our online Graduate Certificate in Creativity Studies are taught by the same world-renowned faculty as our on-campus courses."

Applications for Drexel's online Graduate Certificate in Creativity Studies are now being accepted for fall 2009. For more information, visit Drexel's online degree website (http://www. drexelpr. com/), e-mail info@drexel. com, or call (877) 215-0009.
