One Soldier’s Dedication to His Men, His Country & His Creed

One Soldier’s Dedication to His Men, His Country & His Creed

Author Ivan Paul Mehosky pays tribute to his father, a man who lived through the Great Depression and three great wars, in The Story of a Soldier.

North East, Maryland (PRWEB) September 1, 2006

The Story of a Soldier by Ivan Paul Mehosky is the extraordinary chronicle of the author’s father, a dedicated soldier who led his men through D-Day, the famous Battle of the Bulge and the Korean War.

All too often leaders fail those they are meant to help. Author Ivan Paul Mehosky now provides a triumphant portrait of a great leader, his father. Edward Mehosky grew up during the Great Depression and went on to proudly serve his country in the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment with the 101st Airborne Division during WW II. A platoon leader who led his men, trained them and reminded them how to be soldiers, he took them on a perilous night drop into Normandy. He went on to serve with honor as company commander at the legendary Battle of the Bulge, and when the Korean War began, he volunteered, honoring his country with total commitment to his men. A sterling portrait of a good man and a great leader, The Story of a Soldier is also a testament to a son’s love and respect for his father. Every page of this remarkable book reminds us of our capacity to lead, protect and to serve.

“This book is a needed voice for every freedom-loving person. Read this book--”

– Jack C. Randles, Colonel (Chaplain), Retired, United States Army
