CAMB which counts thousands of mortgage brokers as members presents this award annually to only one mortgage broker in its ranks.

"I'm honored to be recognized by such an incredible group of mortgage experts, whom I'm fortunate to call my peers. Members of CAMB absolutely represent the best of the best mortgage industry professionals. After the trying year we've all had in the mortgage industry, being recognized by these consummate professionals, for my efforts on behalf of CAMB is immeasurably rewarding," Craine remarks.

Craine has been active in CAMB for many years, having served on the San Francisco Peninsula Chapter Board from 2000-2005, and serving as President of the Chapter for the 2004-2005 year. During his tenure as President he grew the chapter membership by approximately 35%, and arranged the chapter's first trade show.

As the spokesperson for CAMB during the tumultuous 2007-2008 year, Craine was instrumental in creating and broadcasting a CAMB call to action message in an effort to strengthen the housing and lending markets, through education.

Ed has been a consumer advocate for years, often lobbying in Washington D. C for mortgage legislation designed to protect consumers. He has also been a vocal proponent for stricter licensing guidelines and regulations for all individuals working in the mortgage industry.

Craine currently serves as CAMB's State Vice President of Finance, while also serving as 1st Regional Vice President of the Certified Commercial Investment Member Institute (CCIM). He will be inducted as Vice President of the Southwest Region in September of this year. Craine has held the CCIM designation since 1992.

Craine holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from Cornell University. Throughout his nearly 30 years as a commercial and residential mortgage broker, Craine has published numerous articles in national industry trade journals, in addition to contributing to The New York Times' and The Wall Street Journals' Best Selling, "Masters of Networking," "Masters of Success," and "Masters of Sales."

In addition to his role as a Certified Instructor for CAMB, Craine has appeared and lectured before thousands of peers, consumers, and professionals from various industry groups, via Lorman Seminars, The Learning Annex, Crittenden Conferences and the Learning Exchange.
Craine also launched a series of Commercial Lending Conferences in 2007, which continue to grow in popularity. The next Commercial Lending Conference is scheduled in San Francisco on September 4, 2008. Craine continues to serve as an Executive Director for Business Networking International (BNI), the world's largest referral organization.
