(PRWEB) July 9, 2003 -
The MSPAlliance (http://www. mspalliance. com (http://www. mspalliance. com)) today announced the formation of its Customer Advisory Council and Best Practices and Industry Standards Advisory Boards. In addition, the MSPAlliance continued to display steady growth and global expansion with the addition of 18 new member companies, bringing the total number of MSPA member companies to over 100 worldwide.
"I'm very excited to join the MSPAlliance Customer Advisory Council, said Eric Goodness, Principal Analyst for Gartner. The Best Practices Board will be tasked with the promotion of industry standards and the adoption of best practices, while the Customer Advisory Council will address directional issues to help member companies provide better services, products and programs to the consumer. "The MSPAlliance will strive to be the absolute guide for any organization wishing to apply best-of-breed practices for IT outsourcing services, said Joseph Carbonetto of Qunara, Inc.

Board Member Quotes:
Albert Starck, CEO, MaxUse, LLC;
"Most IT managers strive to achieve ever-increasing standards of excellence for their organizations while struggling against budget and resource challenges. Outsourcing is the current direction for many organizations and the potential solution to IT budget and resource challenges, but isn't always in line with maintaining service-level excellence.
That's where the Customer Advisory Council comes in. It will help technology users and service providers better leverage industry best practices. We are encouraged to see this kind of initiative coming from the MSPAlliance and are proud to be the first board member appointed to serve the outsourcing constituency."
Bill Strain, senior vice president and chief technical officer, AimNet Solutions;
"I am honored to be part of the council and look forward to working with other members as we develop ideas for products and services that will benefit the entire membership.Â
Mike Backers, CEO of Altoria;
ÂWe are very pleased to serve on the board. Altoria's goal is to help set the bar to which all MSP's should aspire. By setting high expectations, our customers will benefit and our industry will evolve to new heights.Â
Jerry Cogen, Executive Vice President, Computer Network Solutions, LLC;
ÂThis business model has matured. There are many Managed Solutions Providers that are looking for the next step in this evolutionary process. We think we can lend a hand, by collaborating as a team, to get to the next level.Â
