Midas Provides Um Nowara Center For Children With Special Needs With Equipment
Midas, a true philanthropist and a spearhead in corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, provided the Um Nowara Center for Children with Special Needs with different equipment in an effort to assist the center in improving its facilities and educational atmosphere for the children.

Midas, a true philanthropist and a spearhead in corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, provided the Um Nowara Center for Children with Special Needs with different equipment in an effort to assist the center in improving its facilities and educational atmosphere for the children.
This initiative was part of MidasÂ’s corporate social responsibility program set for 2004 and 2005 which is aimed at taking part in community activities and playing a role in the attempt to improve the living standards of the underprivileged members of the Jordanian community. The Midas management feels strongly about creating a spirit of unity and productivity which can be achieved through these CSR programs. Part of MidasÂ’s CSR program objectives includes working closely with a number of welfare and charity organizations to help create awareness, elicit sympathy, and raise funds.
Mr. Raja Khoury, Midas Jordan Chief Executive Officer, stated, “the equipment we provided the Um Nowara Center with is a modest contribution on our part to help the betterment of the facilities for these children. We always try to reach out to our Jordanian community, especially the underprivileged members of our society. At Midas, we will continue to develop our corporate social responsibility program to help address our national issues that need the private sector’s attention and pro-activity.”
Midas has been working closely with the Um Nowara Center to identify the areas that needed improvement such as a carefully constructed wall around the play area, the installation of a special flooring to increase safety and healthy measures, safe toys built especially for children with special needs like a ball-pool, and swings, etc. All the equipment was installed with the specs for special needs in mind, making the center more accessible, enjoyable, and educational for the children who will play a vital role in society one day.
