Newly Launched 2011 Performing Arts Schedule Announced in DuBois, PA

DuBois Area Concert Association continues its successful mission of bringing highly accomplished musicians and entertainment to the Tri-County area of Pennsylvania. Their recent membership drive results indicate that poor economics have not negatively impacted music fan's desire for high quality, live performances in their local area.

DuBois, PA (PRWEB) September 20, 2010

The DuBois Area Concert Association announced this season's impressive roster of talent that will take the stage beginning September 30 through April 2011. The season's performing arts schedule boasts one of the three celebrated "Irish tenors", Anthony Kearns (September 30) along with the Presidio Brass in November and acclaimed contemporary violinist, Doug Cameron next April.

"After such an entertaining 2009 season, I am very pleased we have such outstanding musicians performing for music fans and DACA members again this year," says Bob Moline, Vice President of DACA.

The DuBois Area Concert Association, a not for profit organization headquartered in DuBois, selects high caliber talent of varying styles and acts to perform at the Middle School for members of the association's music fans and enthusiasts. In an effort to foster music education and provide access to renowned players, DACA often arranges for the musicians to interact with local music students, offering clinics as well as occasional on stage performances. Recent notable, outstanding performers include world famous pianist Roger Williams, The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, the Broadway stars of the Phantom of the Opera and the Vivaldi Orchestra of Moscow.

In September, the Concert Association winds down their latest membership drive, noting that poor economic times have not dampened the public's enthusiasm for good quality, live music - a favorite event for many that is not readily found in the surrounding area.

"We're very fortunate the local businesses as well as music fans continually want to support our organization to bring such attractive performances to our area. We couldn't do it without their involvement and consistent interest," notes Eleanor Klees, President of DACA. The new season begins September 30th (Anthony Kearns) at the DuBois Middle School located at 404 Liberty Blvd in DuBois. Memberships can be purchased at the DACA office (814-371-3266)
