Bethpage Federal Credit Union President and CEO Kirk Kordeleski today announced the promotion of Linda Armyn to Vice President of Business Development/Business Services. The title was created to signify the scope of ArmynÂ’s responsibilities at this largest credit union on Long Island.

“Linda joined Bethpage in 2001 and has become a vital member of our strategic team,” said Kordeleski. “I am extremely pleased to recognize her contributions in this way.”

A resident of Melville, NY, Armyn is charged with directing the growth of the credit unionÂ’s business market. She will have oversight of Business and Brand Development, Mergers and Acquisitions, Community Outreach, Public Relations, Bethpage Scholarship Foundation, and Government Affairs, as well as Development and Operations for the credit unionÂ’s Business Services.

“Bethpage has grown to its current $2 billion in assets under Kirk Kordeleski’s leadership,” observed Armyn. “It has been an exciting time for me and I am eager to embark on the next phase in realizing benefits for our Bethpage members.”

Armyn, recently inducted into the Long Island Business News “40 Under 40” select group of executives, joined Bethpage in 2001. Prior to this promotion, she held the title Assistant Vice President. ArmynÂ’s efforts have earned Bethpage many recognitions and distinctions for business and for community involvement. She has worked with Adelphi University to establish an Endowment funded by Bethpage, partnered with her colleagues to foster a culture of volunteerism, and worked closely with several charitable groups. She has been named as the Honoree for the March 2005 Education and Assistance CorporationÂ’s (EAC) Annual Spring Luncheon.

A graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park, Armyn currently sits on the Leadership Council for the Mentoring Partnership of Long Island and serves as a board member of the YMCA of Long Island, Inc., the Bethpage Federal Credit Union Foundation, and the LISTNET Incubator.
