Centennial Vision of Turkey Discussed in the Triangle Area
Turkish Student Association (TSA) has organized a conference in the Triangle Area on the centennial vision of Turkey

Under the leadership of Leila Bekri of International Visitors Council and of Sezin Malkoc, Burak Fenercioglu, and Emre Usenmez of the Turkish Student Association (http://www. ncsu. edu/stud_orgs/turkish/index. html (http://www. ncsu. edu/stud_orgs/turkish/index. html)), North Carolina State University (NCSU) has hosted Tuna Beklevic on January 16, 2005. Mr. Beklevic shared his centennial vision of Republic of Turkey with the young Turkish prospects in the region. Tuna Beklevic is the founder-president of Anatolia's Young Leaders' Movement (www. agl. org. tr), an NGO dedicated to prosperity of the underdeveloped regions of Turkey.
The meeting was held in Withers Hall where mostly Turkish students from Duke, NCSU and University of North Carolina attended.
In his diligent speech, Beklevic was talking about their efforts and plans to deliver a better lifestyle to the young people in Anatolia. He was asking for help from the young crowd to assist them on their desire to improve the situation, as he said, this would be the only way to a stronger Turkey.
Mr. Beklevic was due to visit 18 cities across the United States as an invitee of the Department of State of the United States. While in North Carolina, Mr. Beklevic also had meetings with John Locke Foundation, North Carolina Council on Economic Education, World Affairs Council, North Carolina Center for Nonprofits, and North Carolina Division on Public Health.
Beklevic has also been invited to give a speech at American Turkish Association, North Carolina (ATA-NC) Annual Meeting to talk about his vision.
