The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), the worldwide authority on strength training and athletic conditioning, is excited to announce its 28-annual National Conference July 6-9, 2005 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Let this premier strength and conditioning event build on your current level of knowledge, and reinforce why you became a strength and conditioning professional.
ÂThis is one conference you wonÂt want to miss, stated Bob Jursnick, NSCA Executive Director. ÂWith over 30 sessions, 58 high level presenters, and over 2,000 strength and conditioning professionals from around the world in attendance, this conference is sure to inform and motivate.Â

Pre-conference symposia
In addition to the general sessions, there are eight concentrated pre-conference symposia to choose from on Wednesday, July 6.
These in-depth 4- or 8-hour sessions examine specific strength and conditioning topics. Choose from: Training the Basketball Athlete: Two Case Studies; Extreme Balance Training for all Populations; Introduction to Olympic Weightlifting; Advanced Concepts in Sport-Specific Speed Development; Strength Training and Conditioning for Tennis; Training Special Populations; Role of Nutritional Supplementation on Energy Expenditure, Athletic Performance, and Body Composition; and Strength and Conditioning Programs for the Golf Athlete.
Trade Show
While at the conference, be sure to explore the exhibit hall. Nearly 200 booths, featuring some of the latest products in the industry, will be on display. Wall-to-wall exhibitors fill the massive space with strength training equipment, nutritional items, educational products, computer software, and fitness gear. This is a great opportunity to interact with equipment providers to preview new and innovative products.
Original Research
Strength and conditioning research is always evolving. Each year, hundreds of sport and exercise scientists conduct studies yet to be published. Over 100 original research presentations, never before observed, will be presented during the conference. Original research occurs as brief 15-minute oral presentations, or as comprehensive poster presentations.
Career Services
What better way keep your career in motion, than a new job? The NSCA Career Services Center will be available throughout the conference. Come prepared with a resume, as employers will be conducting interviews on site.
