IBG Supporting BIMA Concepts and Technology Branch
New York, NY (PRWEB) April 15, 2010
International Biometric Group (IBG) announced that it has been awarded a task order under the Biometrics Operations and Support Services Restricted (BOSS-R) contract in support of the U. S. Army Biometrics Identity Management Agency (BIMA).
BIMA leads Department of Defense activities to prioritize, integrate, and synchronize biometrics technologies and capabilities and to manage the Department of Defense's authoritative biometrics database to support the National Security Strategy.
Under the BOSS-R task order, IBG provides support staff to the BIMA Concepts and Technology (C&T) Branch. The C&T Branch explores the efficient identification and transition of essential biometric capabilities to DoD. Through the C&T Branch, BIMA ensures that warfighters have the right biometric solutions for success across the entire range of military and business operations.
IBG provides planning, management, engineering, and subject matter expertise to support the development, management, and execution of the C&T Branch science and technology program. IBG supports special studies, plans, analyses, and technology exploration and provides educational and outreach services.
"With two sons in theater, I know first hand how important it is to support the war fighter by ensuring that advanced technology solutions are available and implemented," said IBG Project Manager Mike Elder. "IBG has brought together a great team with a broad background from across the spectrum of biometrics, including industry, academia, and DoD.
