Platinum Television Group is pleased to announce the selection of Tequilas de la Dona S. A. de CV for its innovative, educational television series, Mundo Latino. It will be featured on the “Models of Excellence: Mexican Tequila” segment.

Tequila products made of the Mexican blue agave, which grows only in one small area of the country, have been in worldwide demand. It is the characteristic taste of its juices that have placed this product in an exclusive position among the highest quality distilled liquors around the world.

Tequilas de la Doña was founded in 1997, pursuing the dream of developing a unique and refined blue agave distilled product. Time has fulfilled the deepest desires of Don Alberto Becherano, who has dedicated his efforts to make his dream come true.

With a team specialized in manufacturing, distributing and commercializing wines and spirits in México for many years, Tequilas de la Doña has produced a natural and sophisticated Blue Agave Premium Drink, the Elíxir de Agave.

The Elíxir de Agave Certification it has achieved means that it has these attributes: Made with exclusively blue agave juices; taste that is gentle and rich not aggressive; the bouquet is sober, permanent and well defined; pure and natural color from aging; robust, velvety body; exact balance with no age or proof limitations; authentic vintage, reserves measured and yearly certified.

Until now, only six other products have achieved the Elíxir de Agave Certification: El Capricho Maduro, Reposado, and Añejo, from the highlands of Los Altos de Jalisco; El Duende Añejo and Reposado; and Reserva del Emperador, which has never been commercialized in an open public market, and for more than a decade has only been available to a very small group of connoisseurs and collectors. It is considered virtually impossible to duplicate and comes in Italian crystal decanters in limited editions.

Mundo LatinoÂ’s segment will feature an explanation of these types of liquor, and the process by which they are manufactured, as well as an overview on the quality of the tequilas and the differences in the brands. There will also be information on the companyÂ’s background, a tour of the plant and an interview with a company representative.
