Regional Mrs. America Representative offering Naturopathy Seminar! Beauty, Naturally! Inside and Out!

Michele Paiva, a local Mrs. America Representative, is offering a free wellness/naturopathy seminar in Pennsylvania!

(PRWEB) March 18, 2004

When one thinks of beauty pageants, they often think of make-up and other chemical enhances. Not so with this Mrs. America rep! Michele Paiva, representing an eastern region of Pennsylvania, is trying to get the word out that natural can be very good. "Of course, not everything that is natural is good - for instance you would not want to rub poison - ivy all over your body", she states.

However, she is working towards her platform, "Empowerment through Outreach" and offering free seminars to get that message out. She explains that often people concentrate on the outside visuals to be "beautiful" or "attractive", when in reality, it's the healthy skin and eyes that often make someone very appealing. She goes on to explain that even historicially, what was percieved as attractive was more about health, than anything else. Eyeliner was something that would show off bright, clear eyes. Lipstick would enhance full lips, and blush would give the illusion of a healthy glow. Instead of working on beauty from the outside, she wants women and men to find their appeal from the inside. This often takes the lead with naturopathy - health naturally. To be healthy is empowering - to feel attractive is a boost to the esteem.

To be educated in your body and mind is to have empowerment as well. As she instructs others on how to overcome common complaints such as acne, periorial dermatitis, stomach ailments and even ward off symptoms of fibromyalgia, she will also touch on the natural traditions handed down through time from many cultures, which have been tried and proven true in many cases.

Of course she wants to also promote the Mrs. America Pageant to married women. "It is a wonderful pageant system that celebrates the modern married woman," she said, "It brings cultures, generations, tradition and the bond of women together to stitch together a quilt rich in diversity, which should be celebrated and recognized."

She goes on to say,"Pageantry is not about just bathing suits and gowns, though why not celebrate beauty? But - it is also about confident women showcasing who they are, what they look like, and being happy in their own skin." ...and being happy in your skin takes health and education on wellness...and this contestant is working hard to educate others. The seminar will be April 2nd at 10 AM in Downingtown Pennsylvania. Email for more information. Michele Paiva is also available to travel anywhere in Pennsylvania to speak to your group.
