My Dog Votes™ founder and author of the DogPolitics. com™ to speak at annual ADBA Nationals in Oklahoma on November 12th

Montclair, NJ (PRWEB) November 10, 2005

Barbara Haywood, My Dog Votes™ founder and author of DogPolitics. com™, The Political Blog For Dog Owners, has been invited by The American Dog Breeders Association to address attendees and exhibitors at the organization’s 2005 Nationals in Kellyville, Oklahoma on November 12th and 13th.

“I am delighted at the invitation and feel honored to address the committed, responsible owners and breeders of The American Dog Breeders Association,” said Ms. Haywood in a written statement. Her address, which is expected to center on legislation, voter awareness and civic engagement, will take place Saturday evening, November 12th. The event is open to attendees and exhibitors, and invitations have also been extended to area dog clubs, as well as local and state elected officials in Oklahoma.

The My Dog Votes™ company mission is to promote civic engagement and voter participation by dog owners with an end-goal of creating dog-friendly and dog-safe communities. Ms. Haywood works dispel the myths of breed stereotypes. Central to her work is raising public awareness of key issues that negatively effect responsible dog owners, such as insurance discrimination, breed bans, weight and size restrictions, pet limit laws and public space bans.

The company recently launched the 2005 My Dog Votes™ Voter Opinion Survey, considered by many to be the first serious look at political trends amongst dog owners. The survey may validate the notion that dog owners are a viable, cultural political constituency in local or state elections, and will establish a benchmark by which future studies can be measured. The results of My Dog Votes™ 2005 Voter Opinion Survey will be published later this year.
