The American College to Award its Highest Honor, The Huebner Gold Medal, to Reginald N. Rabjohns, CLU®, ChFC®

The American College recently selected Reginald N. Rabjohns, CLU®, ChFC®, President, Rabjohns Financial Group, Inc., and Managing Partner, New England Financial, to receive its highest honor, the Huebner Gold Medal. The award ceremony honoring this year's recipients will take place during the President's Circle Dinner aboard the USS Missouri in Pearl Harbor at The College's 2008 Knowledge Summit in Honolulu, HI on November 20, 2008. The American College recently selected Reginald N. Rabjohns, CLU®, ChFC®, President, Rabjohns Financial Group, Inc., and Managing Partner, New England Financial, to receive its highest honor, the Huebner Gold Medal. The award ceremony honoring this year's recipients will take place during the President's Circle Dinner aboard the USS Missouri in Pearl Harbor at The College's 2008 Knowledge Summit in Honolulu, HI on November 20, 2008.

The Huebner Gold Medal is the highest honor bestowed by The American College and is named for the founder of The College, Dr. Solomon S. Huebner. The medal has been awarded annually since 1975 and honors those special few individuals whose support of the College and its programs, and whose dedication to education and professionalism, have been of particular meaning to the mission and progress of the institution. The Huebner Gold Medal recipients are recognized annually at the President's Circle dinner amid some of The American College's most dedicated supporters.

The Huebner Gold Medal is one of many well-deserved accolades earned by Rabjohns over the course of his distinguished career.

With over 41 years of professional experience, Rabjohns is an internationally recognized leader in the insurance and financial services industry. A much sought after speaker, he has addressed financial services professionals, regulators, institutions and associations in 39 states and 25 countries. He began his career while he was still attending Northern Illinois University. At age 27, after six consecutive years of qualification, Rabjohns became the youngest Life Member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT). In 1999, he was named President of the organization.

He currently serves on the Executive Committee and the Board of Trustees of The American College. Rabjohns is also a Trustee and Treasurer of the GAMA Foundation, and has served as a Trustee of the Life and Health Insurance Foundation for Education (LIFE), the Life Underwriters Training Council (LUTC), and as a Director of The Society of Financial Services Professionals.

Rabjohns has earned the GAMA Master Agency Award four times and is a 31-year recipient of the GAMA International Management Award. He is the only person to have served as President of the Chicago Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, the Chicago Society of Financial Service Professionals and the Chicago General Agents and Managers Association.

He earned the prestigious Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®) designation in 1971 and the Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) designation in 1983 from The American College.

Rabjohns and his wife, Micheline, are 40-year residents of Northbrook, IL. They have five children, Stephanie, Bryan, Joshua, Ann and Christian and four grandchildren. Rabjohns has been actively involved in a number of Chicago-area organizations including Misericordia Heart of Mercy Home; Lutheran Church of the Ascension, Northfield; and the Union League Club of Chicago. An avid runner, he has completed five marathons and is an instrument rated private pilot.

Rabjohns' name will be added to the Huebner Gold Medal Recognition Wall located on The College's campus in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. This wall includes the names of every medal recipient since the award's inception.
