ECrypt Live on the Christy Clark Show in Support of Data Privacy Day
ECrypt Technologies, Inc. (OTC BB:ECRY) proudly supports Data Privacy Day 2010 online and on air.
Boulder, CO (Vocus) January 28, 2010
To advocate the international Data Privacy Day initiative, eCrypt Technologies (http://shop. ecryptinc. com/) (OTC BB:ECRY) President and CEO Brad Lever and co-founder Kasia Zukowska will be guests on CKNW’s Christy Clark Show from 2-2:30 PM PST, a radio talk show aired in Vancouver, Canada. To listen, listeners can log onto CKNW. com (http://www. cknw. com/) to ”Listen Live” online, or, in the Pacific Northwest, tune into AM980.
In further support of this event, all day today eCrypt is pleased to offer consumers information about everyday risks to their on-and-offline privacy, tips on how to protect it, as well as free downloads of “eCrypt” encryption software for BlackBerry® devices. Internet users are urged to log onto YourPrivacyIsOurBusiness. com (http://yourprivacyisourbusiness. com/) for details.
Brad Lever comments: “Threats to our privacy are largely intangible - we cannot see or touch them - and as such, many of us aren’t aware just how great those risks are, and how detrimental they can be to us, our families, our present, and our futures. We are very happy to see that independent initiatives are being taken to spread awareness and educate consumers, and are very excited to be able to contribute to this not-for-profit effort, and help arm consumers not only with know-how, but also tools, that will enable them to take control over their privacy.”
Data Privacy Day (http://dataprivacyday2010.org/), a division of The Privacy Projects, is an annual international celebration to raise awareness and generate discussion about information privacy. In 2009, both the U. S. Senate and House of Representatives recognized January 28th as National Data Privacy Day. Over the past few years, privacy professionals, corporations, government officials and representatives, academics, and students in the United States, Canada, and 27 European countries have participated in a wide variety of privacy-focused events and educational initiatives in honor of Data Privacy Day.
